When Holland arrives he notices that Moloch is heavily protected so he starts by taking out his people.
A professional killer comes out of retirement to investigate and avenge the brutal murder of an old friend.
This is a prescient by the numbers Bronson flick with Evil Doctor who helps U.S and Latins with"extraordinary rendition", ahem, torture I mean.

Although a basically plotted 80's revenge fantasy with the mighty Chucky B, Director J Lee Thompson displays an unswerving approach to the dispatching of the baddies, one by one and does not fear to point out the U.S use of torture in supporting corrupt governments.

Mirroring modern-day U.S, U.K, Canadian and Dutch government uses of "extraordinary rendition" tactics - basically looking away whilst putting prisoners guilty or innocent in the hands of foreign torturers. Nice.

Anyhow, it's pretty brutal but thats the way of the world. Unfortunately the bad guys don't get it like this in the real world.

The whiny Joseph Maher as "The Doctor", Dr. Clement Molloch is excellent in pantomime baddie mode.

But an admittedly cheesy ending A professional killer comes out of retirement to investigate and avenge the brutal murder of an old friend.

Of all the Bronson films I have seen -- and granted, I haven't seen them all -- this strikes me as being one of the weaker entries. It's obviously no "Death Wish" and it's not even "10 to Midnight" or that underrated Japanese film (whose name escapes me at the moment). We still have some good scenes, but overall it is forgettable.
