YOU have a tremendous value. God created YOU! Everything God creates has value. The way we view the value of ourselves is most often based on our abilities and achievements,Speak and Inspire or our disabilities and failures. You may not see yourself as having much value because of the mistakes and failures you have made, but God did not create mistakes. God did not create failures. God created you in His image with the ability to succeed. God does not base your value on what you are now, but on what He knows you can become. God has also given you every resource that you need to become successful. He has placed within you the seeds for success.

Change your view of success. Success does not make people vain and egotistical; on the contrary, it makes them, humble and kind. Failure is what makes people bitter and cruel. Know that you can succeed in every area of your life when you view success as a possibility for you. You can be successful in your relationships, in your work, in your health, and in your finances. What you become in life is the result of your own decisions. You can be successful! Or, you can see that success is not a possibility. Whatever you choose will happen. Begin today to see yourself as valuable. Begin to see yourself as successful. View yourself through the eyes of God.

A second obstacle to success is the lack of desire to succeed. Success begins with desire. Success is for those energetic enough to work for it, hopeful enough to look for it, patient enough to wait for it, brave enough to seize it, and strong enough to hold it. The difference between a person who is successful and one who is not is a lack of will. The successful person says, "It may be difficult but it is possible." The unsuccessful person says, "It may be possible, but it is too difficult."

Success does not just happen, it takes time, often years. If you intend to be successful in life, YOU have to make the decision. Michael Jordan is known as one of the best basketball players of all time. He has achieved success, both on the court and off. Was his success luck? No. During Jordan's sophomore year (1978 - 79), at Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, he tried out for the only sophomore spot on the varsity team. He was beat out by Leroy Smith. Smith was obviously a better basketball player than Jordan, and Jordan had to settle for Junior Varsity. Jordan didn't get upset and quit, he became more determined to succeed.
