However, I have constantly been blessed with mentors who believed in me and lowered their necks for me to climb. They not only showed me how to be ferocious and hunt in life, they armed me and let me pursue my passion and dreams. They are constantly pushing me out to try my ideas. They let me fail and instruct me. Oh, the gift of leadership.

Let me tell you how heroes are made. Heroes are people who have the guts to stick to what they believe in and act it out. They are often hated and despised and misunderstood. Then, when they succeed or die, the entire world celebrate them. No one is ever celebrated following a crowd. When you think of leaders, people who followed and pursued their inner grace and instincts. People who dared to be wrong than be part of a silly majority, then think of Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela and Mohammed Ali. Think of men and women who at their deaths, the world stood still because they left indelible prints in the sand of time. I pray that we may have more of such men. There are thousand others who obeyed all the rules, did nothing differently, never stood out, said nothing and became nothing. To such people belong no place, not even a stroke of the pen in our history books.

If you want to be a hero, I've got an idea Step out and live out your God given dreams and vision. If you think that the vision and ideas that are constantly tugging at your heart will go away, you are mistaken. They may only be suppressed, only to resurface again. They may only resurface when the curtain of life is about to be drawn.
