"We become what we think about" so said Earl Nightingale    Becoming Limitless Review   is his recordbreaking recording in 1956 titled The Strangest Secret. But do you know, many had said this same thing in the same or different ways so many times all down through history. If we were to take a look at all of our greatest philosophers, prophets, scientists and thinkers history tells us that they disagreed on virtually everything.Yet the one thing that they are in complete and unanimous agreement with, is that we all of us become what we think about. Ralph Waldo Emerson said "we become what we think about all day long". The greatest teacher of all, in The Bible, says "As a man thinketh, so is he".

In his recording, Earl quotes Dr. Albert Schweitzer, when asked by a reporter "What's wrong with men today". Dr. Schweitzer thought for a moment and then said quite succinctly, "Men simply don't think".Many of us have so much mental activity going on in our mind that we just assume that we are thinking, but it is a grave error to mistake mental activity for thinking.

Mental activity is simply everything already stored in the mind humming around and us attempting to make the most valuable use of it. Thinking, on the other hand, is the art of actually coming up with a new creative thought something beyond your current level of mental activity and current boundary of thoughts. If we were to look at a couple of young bicycle mechanics The Wright Brothers it is quite obvious that they had to be thinking new thoughts, I would assume many times over, to successfully introduce the human race to a new mode of travel that would effectively introduce us to a new kingdom.

We could say the same about Edison, Alexander Fleming, Nikola Tesla, Alexander Graham Bell and the list goes on. None of their inventions were capable of being produced without expanding their thought boundaries, without thinking entirely new thoughts and ideas. So getting back to The Strangest Secret, Earl mentions that it is not really a secret at all, it has been professed down through history by many great wise men and philosophers. The strange part relates to the fact that we take our mind for granted familiarity breeds contempt.
