Marketing Your Small Business Through a Recession, Online Marketing May Be the Savior!

That is the simplified version but it is generally what happens. I recall a guy who built a six figure business that started with selling car air fresheners on the street corner. You know the ones that look like little pine trees. His goal every day when he went out there was to get you to give him your money in exchange for one of these little trees.It worked because his story became well known. At some point I think he even had other people out there selling the trees. So how do you get people to exchange their money for your product or service in the easiest fashion?

You give them something that they are already buying or they already want to buy. If you knew a local flea market got thousands of visitors per day looking for various vintage t-shirts you would not sell them basketballs. You already know what the market demands so find you some vintage t-shirts that are a bit different and you are almost guaranteed to make sales.The same concept works on the internet. There are things that you have to convince people to buy with expensive and smooth ad copy and there are things that people will buy without any effort on your part. Its like hot dogs and coke at the amusement park. Its not a matter of can you sell any but how many.

Your goal to make easy money is to first identify the group that needs something. The problem arises when entrepreneurs go find a product and then hope to find buyers. What if nobody wants what you are selling? Yes you are stuck with it. Find the buyers first and then give them a version of what they want. If you want an example of known buyers take a look a golfers. It seems like thats all they do is buy new clubs and equipment. Another example would be new mothers. They are excited and will buy almost anything for their baby whether its practical or not in some cases.
