It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life-Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with the short Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.
I rate Agent Carter 10 out of 10 stars! I looked forward to every Tuesday night checking in with my friend (yes, it felt like we were pals) Peggy. This show delivers everything I am looking for and need in television.

We have brains, brawn, beauty, brilliance...and that only covers some of the B-words! (I am being silly, but I could go on and on with adjectives) What I like most about this show is the promotion of women and empowerment. Women today can still relate to Peggy Carter because sexism is alive and thriving.

I love we see a strong and smart woman taking matters into her own hands and working on something she wholeheartedly believes in--and kicking arse.

Excellent writing, excellent action sequences, excellent supporting cast (Hey Enver!) and overall an excellent experience!!! Please deliver more AGENT CARTER !!! (A feature film or additional seasons of the series) As a longtime fan of Marvel I was looking forward to this latest installment. However, the completely unrealistic, blatant sexism in Carter's workplace almost completely spoils this great story. Women were not treated so harshly - the sexism and chauvinism was much more insidious and subtle. In this series they are practically pinching her behind every time she walks by one of them. A little research would have gone a long way here. Instead, we see our heroine demoralized and emotionally beaten by a gang (yes, "gang") of her male coworkers. What a terrible beginning to what might have been a great series. The acting is great, costumes and cinematography are stunning. Bottom line: Women were simply not brutalized in the workplace in the manner which the writers would like you to believe.
