This type is characterized by sitting or remaining inactive for most of the day for example, in an office, with little or no exercise. A sedentary lifestyle is defined as engaging in no leisure-time physical activity exercises, sports, physically active hobbies in a two-week period.Light Activity: This type is categorized for people that do indeed "move" around but don't necessarily exercise. For example, walking around work, or walking to your car. Also, at home these types of people are usually sitting at the computer a lot, reading, typing, etc.Moderate Activity: This is a person that is more active than a light activity person. They move around a lot during the day, they rarely sit, and they exercise several times a week. This type of person actually "pushes" themselves while working out, no lazy bones!

This is for the people that have a labor intensive job such as a construction worker or a bicycle messenger, at home they are incredibly active doing rigorous activities and they involve themselves in all sorts of activities such as sports, jogging, or mountain biking every single day!Getting into shape, losing weight, and staying in shape takes both exercise and eating right. This don't mean you have to eat wheat grass and gag every time you make yourself one of those "shakes." This means that you should incorporate more healthy things into your diet. Veggies, fruits, fish, chicken. I once worked as a nutritionist and a health counselor and it's amazing how many people get scared when they are told they have to start eating right. For some reason, they don't realize the variety of choices they have for food. Fish is great for you especially salmon without dyes. Chicken is incredibly good for you grilled and without that honey BBQ sauce you put on it. I think a lot of people get scared because of three reasons.

There are many people who are never successful in losing weight in spite of doing the best of the exercises and eating almost nothing. Then there are some people who actually get away with eating all kinds of food and claiming that they never exercise. My myths and misconceptions about weight loss which exist today. These myths can actually do your health and body more harm than good and though they may result in temporary weight loss, they are very harmful in the long run.One of the biggest myths that people believe Is most celebrities claiming that they eat everything and never diet but remain slim because they have good metabolic rates. This is a complete farce in most cases because out of hundred there might be one celebrity who is not having to exercise because they have good metabolic rate .The rest of them usually starve them and hardly eat. It has also been seen that most of the celebrities are also more prone to suffer from food diseases like anorexia and bulimia due to their eating habits.

It has been proven that starvation diets don't work. In starvation diets the body is made to go through prolonged stages of hunger so that the body does not get any more fat and it has to dig into the fat reserve for nourishment and nutrients. The diet does not work simply because you cannot stay hungry forever and the body starts its defense mechanism reaction when it does not get food. The body then starts to store extra fat in its reserve and prepares it self for another starvation period which results in increase In weight.There is another diet called the one food diet where the dieter is allowed to eat only one form of food for a week. This may be cabbage or apple, which can be eaten at all meals. The diet also fails to work. One is avocados.They are rich in the healthful mono unsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats that have been linked to reduced risks of cancer, heart disease and diabetes. They also contain 20 vitamins,minerals and phytonutrients which are thought to help prevent many diseases.
