I truly wanted to enjoy this game. I tried from the start no less than 15 times. There is little ammo, it takes 10 or so shots to kill creatures and appears there is no mapping to increase kills for headshots etc. The close in combat is slow and cumbersome and not worth trying. All in all it looks like a funny game and well done if you can run away from everything and avoid shooting or hitting anything at all costs. Not my cup of tea, I have retried the first 5 minutes too many times.

The latest update with gamepad support is up now! Enable this and check out the new control schemes by going into the options menu in-game. Note that only Xbox controllers on Windows (update: Only Xbox 360 controllers) are officially supported at the moment, and that other controllers may have unexpected issues. Support for all controllers will be added soon.
Edit: Until then, you could try changing the controls from the launcher before the game starts.
The current configuration is this, and might come in handy when customizing the controls -
Fixes in v1.1.2 -
1. Fixed an issue with gamepad compatibility for the combination lock on day 5.
2. Fixed an issue where entering the outfit menu more than once would cause it to become un-highlighted when using the gamepad.

Before getting to the bug fixes, I wanted to announce that I'm currently trying to figure out a reworked control scheme. Many people have suggested they'd rather the game was completely playable by mouse alone.
My assumption was that WASD movement feels more immersive as it's something we're used to from third person/ first person action games, but it's quite obvious I was wrong! I'm not 100% sure this will work with the way the game is designed, but it's something I'll work on and let you know about it soon.
Controller support will also be worked on. It's something I've wanted to add from the beginning, but a few issues have prevented its implementation.
Here's a list of the latest bug fixes and improvements:
1. Added Vsync.
2. Removed the bugged NPC Anav from Central Street.
3. Fixed a bug where it was possible to get stuck in a conversation with Brad during the second conversation.
4. Fixed a bug where interaction with a phone on day 6 was sometimes disabled.
5. Fixed an issue where sometimes Chris could appear in place of Michael in the Main Street after a particular flashback.

This week there's been a bunch of work done in terms of more dialogue and story related stuff for the new scenes. At this moment, almost half the total amount of scenes have been created and scripted! The momentum is good, and development is on track.
It's hard to talk a lot about all those things without spoiling the story, but luckily there's a bit of good art stuff to share this week as well. I've been trying to make improvements to the art, and have been experimenting with adding gradients and patterns to the walls for the interior scenes. Here's an example. I'm especially happy with how the frosty window and the rainy scene outside it turned out, it gives a really cozy feeling to the interiors - especially with the lamp, pizzas and coffees!
I also attempted to improve the character art for the game, with mixed results. Inspired by the character art style in Broken Age, I tried creating more detailed faces for the characters. Through polls on instagram and twitter, I realized that majority prefer the original character art style. What do you think? (New style is on the left, old on the right)

Hello!
This update fixes a couple of major issues that were spotted in the review copy for the game.
1. Fixed an issue where the player was unable to interact with Allan on Day 4.
2. Added pillarboxing/ letterboxing for monitors with non-16:9 aspect ratios.
3. Enabled launcher that will allow users to change the resolution before launching the game.

The Mac version has been rolled back to v1.1.0, and should now be playable. The only thing missing from the newer version is gamepad support (which was designed for Windows + Xbox 360 controller anyway so there should be no difference.)
A fix for the latest Mac version is being worked on and will be up soon, but until then it is safe to proceed with version 1.1.0 (labelled v1.1 in-game)
