Sleep Deprivation Effects and the Symptoms of Not Getting Enough Sleep

Mouth exercises can also be used to reduce snoring. Puckering your lips and holding them in Restup Review  position for 10 seconds before releasing them is a great exercise to stop snoring. Repeat this exercise ten to twenty times a day. Additionally you can spread your lips into a wide smile and hold it for a few moments before relaxing. Try combining these two exercises with the tongue exercises for the best results. Not only will you have helped your snoring without painful surgery but you will sleep better too.


Regular nightly snoring is officially on the rise within the general population. More studies than ever are being performed to find out why snoring has risen and how these snoring issues can be lowered. Oftentimes snoring can be directly linked with being overweight or obese. Obesity or being overweight will more often than not be the direct cause of snoring for most people. This is because of excess fat around the neck area which can affect the soft tissues within the throat and airway. If you are a person who is overweight and you snore frequently losing some excess weight may cure the problem altogether. Not only will your snoring potentially stop but other ailments commonly associated with obesity will also lower. Things such as diabetes and high blood pressure will no longer be a great risk for you.

Certain medications that are used to induce a deep state of relaxation can also contribute to snoring. Many medications may cause the throat to close more than normal during sleep. This can cause you to snore.

If you are not overweight or on medication that can cause snoring yet still suffer from snoring there are other factors that may be contributing to it. If you often eat large meals late at night or snack on junk foods right before you go to bed on a regular basis this could be pushing your diaphragm up and causing the snoring. Alternatively sleep apnea and asthma have also been linked with snoring. Therefore if you are not overweight and you do not eat before bed then you should see your doctor to find out if sleep apnea or asthma is causing the problem.
