To Become Successful You Have to Be Out of Your Mind

Anyway, one of Hill's keyBrainwave Shots rules for success is that each entrepreneur makes their own mastermind group. This is a group of people that get together to benefit the wants and needs of each other's goals. Hill used Andrew Carnegie (a slight edge above the rest of us I will admit) and his stepmother. Henry Ford had only his wife at first, then developed a huge team once he became successful.

Thomas Edison only had his wife at first. Since I am a fairly shy character, I stick with advise from family and my girlfriend, but I also use all of the personal screw-ups and successes from the writings of really successful people.

As entrepreneurs, we naturally want to do everything on our own. We can do it better, we say. No one cares about your business like you do. It's your baby. There's no denying that, but if you don't get the input of others occasionally, you are leaving a lot of good ideas on the table.

Sometimes it really helps to get help from an outside perspective. Who can you put in your mastermind group? What do you have to offer the group in return (remember that everything has a price and that you have to give back or the group won't work).

Do you know people that won't judge you for your hare-brained ideas? A mastermind group can get through the toughest problem, because it's a small collective of thought. This is not a bunch of B.S. You can solve customer issues. You can solve internet traffic issues. You can solve funding issues. You can solve design and engineering issues. You can solve almost any issue once you have a solid mastermind group in place.

You can schedule the group to meet once a week or once a month. Maybe just on the phone, although in person is much better to bounce ideas around. As long as your group is willing to support a common goal, you can steer it to do just about anything. Everyone knows someone, therefore everyone has contacts. In business, contacts are critical and that is part of what drives the success of the mastermind group.

Let's say you want to make a new widget and a member of your group just happens to have a friend of a friend that owns a widget factory. You now have an "in" that you would never have on your own. The best part is that the mastermind group is monetarily free, but do you have to give something as I said before. How can you benefit those that help your success?No one wants to work a dead end job their entire life, and if you are already up in age, don't feel like you are trapped and have to stay where you are. It is never too late to make a change in your life to better yourself and your family.
