Still, I think that may not be the only reason. Okay so, if we take this study with that recent study  Hypnosis Live Review   showing reading increases empathy (1) then we might say that having empathy for others helps with relationships and that means people are not lonely thus, happier and happier people don't get sick as much, or have better immune systems as they are constantly exposed to whatever else is out there. This study begs more questions. It might also be that smarter people enjoy reading more and smarter people have more developed brains and more developed brains have more nerve connection and that means better faculties for more movement thus, are not sitting around all day.

This could mean many things you see? Healthy body a healthy brain, and apparently vice-versa. So, feed your brain with good reading, and work to maintain your body and health using that brain of yours. Please consider all this and think on it. When I showed up at the annual fund-raising gala for the Visual Art Exchange (a very cool non-profit in Raleigh), I had no idea I was about to transform my family room. Every year the live auction plays out the same way the first few pieces of art go for ridiculously low prices, the intensity slowly builds, and eventually folks get in the game and begin bidding enthusiastically and competitively.

So when the fourth piece came out and the auctioneer dropped the opening bid to next to nothing, I raised my bid card thinking, "Let's see if I can get some action going." What's that famous MLK quote I keep reciting? "I Have a Dream!" And well, he may not be alone anymore, there may be another 1.3 billion people who also have a dream - and they are from China, so, let's talk shall we? On the cover of the September issue 2013 of China Today there was a quote; "China is a domicile for all dreams.

Everyone has the right to dreams and, more important, the right to make them come true. This is the Chinese dream in a nutshell." And about halfway through that issue was an article titled "The Chinese Dream, My Dream," by Tang Shuniaq. Yes, I realize that the magazine "China Today" is put out by the Chinese government, and is more or less a soft sell of Chinese culture, business, and industry into the US market. Communist China is growing up, many of the kids of the Communist leaders who one day I'd be leaders themselves, are thinking more and more like Americans. Many of them are going to our top schools and universities.
