Teenage obesity in America is a flaming-hot epidemic right now .  Apple Cider Vinegar Plus Review   How did we let this happen Well, we've created a toxic environment with an all-to-readily available, unfit food supply. A whopping 67% of non-institutionalized Americans, aged 20 and over are overweight or obese. Teens are following suit. Around one third (30%) of tweens and teens are now considered overweight or obese and this trend is on the rise. Adolescents need a healthy diet of the right food in an adequate amount to insure proper growth and healthy weight. It is logical to come to the conclusion that the overweight problem may be more related to what they are actually eating than how much.

Green and plant-based foods, organically and locally grown are going to give your entire family the best shot at getting the proper nutrients they need. Especially with teenagers, who need the good, organic minerals and vitamins that can only be found in fresh foods that have been grown on non-depleted soil and without toxic additives. A wide range of green vegetables, root veggies, sprouts, seeds, nuts, low-acid grains, certain fruits and soy will give them all the amino acids they need to produce the optimum level of protein to build muscle, bone and to maintain their perfect weight.

The typical American teenage diet is made up of convenient, fast food - fat, sugar, salt and animal products which are contaminated with hormones, toxins & antibiotics and are harmful to their health and their waistlines. This diet is poisoning them. Besides which, the above mentioned foods are all acidic. Undigested animal protein compromises the digestive tract. Undigested, acidic material putrefies in the intestine which is a contributing factor leading to obesity. The poor kid's body has to park all this stuff as fat stores. Add a heaping plateful of healing greens, instead of a greasy pizza or burgers and fries and all this starts to turn around fast.

So now that you personally are transitioning to a green diet, how are you going to get your teens to eat greens We all know that teenagers rebel. They have the means to sneak out for a Big Mac and a Coke if they want to--even if you remove all the bad food from the house. So a very light-handed, somewhat clandestine and transitional approach to letting your kid discover that it's hip to go green is needed if you are going to succeed. Never, ever preach.
