About This Game

Snow Ash Land is a multiplayer post-apocalyptic top-down shooter game with rpg mechanics and survival in semi-open world. It simulates a dying society in a post-apocalyptic world. Guided by factions with very different ideologies, the player can choose to help rebuild civilization or destroy humanity.

There's a lot of interractions between players in multiplayer mode : Guilds, pvp territory wars, resources and informations exchanges, language, politics, economy, building...

Each player can be a piece of a huge whole, choose a profession with its importance in the workings of the political and economic system of the game, whose effectiveness and utility will depend on the professions of the other players.

You will need each other to do your job effectively and succeed in creating some semblance of economic and social stability or you can be part of those who want the end of old societies.

The game will have a strong dominant roleplay ,but without frustrating players who would simply like to fight and play competitively ,they will be able to choose a faction in which they can compete against each other without suffering any malus or bonus.

As for players who wanted to play more in the atmosphere of the game,they can choose a simple citizen job so they will be protected by bonuses that will make others think twice before shoot them.

The player will have to explore the world to understand the past, how the world became what it is today. Some characters are the keys to history, they will give the player a lot of information to understand. It's a top down shooter that can be extremely difficult and in a way rewarding.
I guess you can compare it to a roguelike game as the game does have a permadeath system.
There is a fully functional quest line that you can follow and the locations are varied.
Sometimes you will run into a bug or a placeholder but when reported they get fixed quickly.
I highly recommend you download the demo , the demo has multiplayer working aswell.

Cloud Saves implemented
Big Reset Button, is now available to anyone lvl 60 retirement - it resets Turgut's stat points for reorganization
Incremental Saves added as failsafe, these occur on any Big Reset and retirement
Save functionality a bug was removed that could've been responsible for lost saves
Prevention method for those who accidentally had a princess 1 level too high, this allows the bug to fix itself so you can play without error
Map Camera is reset upon the beginner zones, not the frozen zone

Balancing:
Avalanche Legendary Axe drop boosted from 0.01% to 2%
Sea King's Legendary Sword drop boosted from 0.01% to 0.05%. Day 1 Bug Fix Rollout:
1. Intro animation had an untranslated line which was fixed
2. A couple translations were small, unreadable, clipped and were fixed
3. Items with a NEW stat will show yellow stat text upon Item Comparison
4. Achievements for stats, such as speed demon, should now also unlock when adding Gear, not just from the [+] symbol

Netcode optimization :
- The other players now have a more fluid movement
- AIs are sent in the netcode only between team players / optimization of their movements
- Economical system manageable directly from the president's menu

General optimization:
- The light and shadow engine is now directly and completely configurable in the settings

Fixed many bugs in the intro ,there are still one or two I couldn't find ,in case of major bugs do F9 then F11 to restart a new part

I added a tutorial to understand and use the HUD and the player's different menus

The radar now shows the current quest target and quest giver ,as well as the names of the different area exits by passing the cursor over them, more effective for those who are a little lost

I added a lot of quests and registration dialogues ,now just implement them and activate them in the game

Add 2 main characters with their dialogues and portraits

All slum maps were improved by filling them with numerous sprites and tiles, adding light and tags on useful buildings to differentiate them from the less important ones and give them lairs.. Fall Update Patch2:

*New Battle Helpers feature. Pick which one of your princesses you want to fight along in battle. They gain XP and level up just like Turgut. After leveling up distribute stat and skill points of you liking. The higher the total level of all princesses the more bonus stat points you earn.

- Optimization of the server ,I did some tests ,I found 4 errors in the netcode server side ,I fixed this ,now i need more players to test the remaining bugs.

- The first maps were improved as well as half of the total indoor areas ,to give a more pleasant design level ,still in work

- The introduction was improved, corrected and better translated, logically, if you find any mistakes you can always tell me.

- I made sure that enemy AIs have weapons and equipment related to your level, no more flame throwers and rocket launchers from the beginning of the game

- Fixed a bug where guitarists played again after their death

- Improvement of the quest system, especially ambushes and territory defense missions

- Adding a symbol around the compass clock, it now displays the different outputs, including those related to your quest, active quest elements, and craft tables.

- Server optimization, correction of some bugs that caused the server to crash, stability gain
