root double before crime after days xtend edition walkthrough. root double before crime after days xtend edition review. root double before crime after days xtend edition

A very good sci-fi visual novel with plenty of twists. Played 7 days straight, left completely satisfied. Some parts were to anime-ish, and other parts were a bit too long, but those are minuscule complains.. I'm a fan of the Infinity series. I've played them all, Never7, Ever17, Remember11, and also some other titles from the director of this novel that I wont mention because I dont know which is the copyright status of their translations at the moment (unofficial so probably not approved). Prior to this review, I have finished the game (all endings) and unlocked most of the epilogues. Needless to say, I'm also a big fan of Mr. Uchikoshi - and therefore his best friend maker of this game Mr. Nakazawa. So what to say. Spoiler warning Blick Winkel changed his pantaloons and was given a smaller role in this novel, but it's still there. Mr. Nakazawa loves to play with the 4th wall. Wether is Self, Mr. Spirit, Blick Winkel, or Santa Claus, it is always the same thing. So. if you have played another novel made by KID or Regista, you will know what to expect. This is a good point for those that didnt play any other novel from the same author, but for "us" avid readers it feels old quite fast. The twists were all expected, so much so that I often had to shake my head in response to the hints in routes B and D while muttering "Really? Is this it?". Everything feels so simple, so. easy to figure out. It is clearly a more bland, easy going experience if compared to Remember11 or Ever17, it is closer to an anime than a proper visual novel of this genre. I was always expecting a new twist or a final revelation that never came. It feels a bit dull in the end. Some moments were a little cheesy, others were totally out of place. Route A is the best because its something that fans of the genre and the author know and expectrespect, and its great for setting the mood. B feels a bit boring, has its unnecessary moments, classic anime reactions and characters with one note only, to be fair my least favorite despite the good twist, again easy to figure out. D was a bit of a mess, and characters once important were then forgotten in the background with 2-3 lines every hour or even less. The True Ending didnt satisfy me in the least. The Good Endings were fine, but still not really worth the effort because the outcome could be spotted from a mile away. Overall, I consider this one of the lesser titles that Mr. Nakazawa has created, if we speak about the storyline and characters. The bad endings werent so appealing too, R11 bad endings were terrifying and shocking in comparison, something that Root Double lacks. The "main vilain" is a joke, but it serves its purpose. I just wished that the info dumping part would end in route B instead of being dragged on till the very end of D, where any normal person would have noted what was important and could have figured out on his own the remaining answers. Even after the complaints, i recommend this title because its visually stunning, has great voice acting, good sound design, and it embodies a genre that absolutely needs to be ported on to Steam en masse. If you dont mind a very light hearted journey through the lives of nine people trapped in a laboratory dealing with all sorts of dangers and philosophical speeches, and you can get over some really stupid lines, you may enjoy this product. I hope many people get to love this genre so we'll all play new extreme escape adventures of great quality.. First of all, if you're a fan of the Infinity series, you'll definitely be interested in this game. But even if you're not, if you're a fan of games with a lot of story and sci-fi, you'll enjoy it. Personally I found the story kind of dragged a lot of the time, but it was still good. A lot of the plot points are infuriatingly obvious, but you have to bear in mind that the characters don't see everything that you do. The Xtend episode felt like a complete waste of time to me, it was 90% repeated content that isn't flagged as read so you can't skip it without changing the settings. The rest of it was really centred around romantic subplots, which I can understand people enjoying but personally I wasn't interested.. I had a bit of mixed feelings about this game. I found Route B to be super boring, but by the time I got to A it was really exciting! To me the mysteries in the game were more than worth playing through to figure out. Definitely worth full price because of how many hours you will spend playing! I bought it on sale though. The enneagram wasn't very intuitive but you get the hang of it after awhile. All in all a very good sci-fi mystery game that I'd go so far as to class with Steins;Gate.. I have to say im pretty new to the Visual Novel Genre but Root Double rly gave me a blast. You play it for the first time and think: "Hey that is a pretty cool setting, a lot of interesting stuff happens and since you can decide how much you 'trust' others (or even yourself) you can influence the story in whole" After hell a lot of play time you land in a some kind dissatisfying ending, but nevertheless enjoyed your time trying things and even achieving a lot of things. Ofc you can try to figure out every little possibility by yourself but i highly recommend a guide (not at first or even second playthrough, but when you feel like you dont want to fail all the time anymore). Because there unfold so many further aspects of the story with every additional playthrough (or better said: route) I took. First time I didnt even see half of the important chars, then I saw them and understood their connections, afterwards it comes out that they had even deeper connections then you thought they would have and so its a really joyful ride to find everything out this game has to offer. I highly recommend it, cause of its incredible story (including so many different routes and outcomes to experience), its vivid characters and also technically speaking full japanese audio and skipping options. The only bad about it is, that i repeats itself many times.more precisely i mean this: (Keeping in mind you can always skip scenes you have already read up to that point where you havent) You play a scene with one unimportant decision, then, second try, you make the other decision. Ends up, that just one character say one other word, but everything else stays exactly the same. But since its another scene you cannot simply skip that "already read" part. Other example: You get to see many scenes from multiple perspectives. And also here some perspectives are simply not relevant and simply boring, But since every third sentences is "Oh i think this looks great" you cannot skip it either. Dont get me wrong you can basically skip anything. The issue with this parts is only that u might miss something then. Oh yeah and the music is pretty cool.has a nice set of songs for every kind of situation as well as unique character songs.. Root Double: Before Crime * After Days -Xtend Edition (ROOTDOUBLE) is a mystery/sci-fi visual novel video game developed by Regista and Yeti collaboration. It was first released on 2012. An updated version called Xtend Edition was later released in 2013 and finally 2016 for PC. ROOTDOUBLE is a beautiful game. 60-70 hours long of story. Nice visualization and bgm. Fully japanese voiced dialogues with mostly famous voice actors. All-round interesting/likeable casts. Several mysteries and plot twists will thirst a player with curiosity as they want to find out more and more. The great thing about this game is that every single phenomenon that represented here are explained by sciences which are all existed in real life topics. And most of time, plot twists and explanations are worth the wait. It's well-educated writing that even rare to find in most sci-fi of a same genre or what not. As a name of genre stands, much of gameplay will involve the player reading the story's narrative through text and image. Required little to no interaction from the player. The player then will be presented with decision options that affect the course of the game. The decisions made result in one of branching storylines in game, which player will end up with different ending. An essential system to that is called "Senses Sympathy System" ("SSS"). Instead of giving out a flat-out choices like most other VN does, the player is represented with the way to manipulate player own impression or feeling toward characters via SSS throughout the game. Player's "feeling" will affect character they currently take control and thus influencing them to take different action, eventually affect the progress of the story. The SSS is based on the Enneagram of Personality, with each of the main characters representing one of the nine different types. When player reach certain point of story where it supposedly calls "branches" player will be presented with SSS Enneagram where the player is allowed to give their input or adjust feeling. However, only characters that are relevant to the scene can have their Senses be adjusted. There're several branches in the game and player will be given opportunity to adjust SSS more than they can count, thus there're several ending in the game. To add more convenience, it comes with save/load states where player can choose to save or load to any point of game. It also comes with auto play text and voice without having to constantly click a screen to process, and fast forward button for skipping the entire set of dialogues to the next important choices that can be resulted in different route immediately. They also include the skip an already readed-text button in case you want to revisit some part of story in between. The best feature is that you can jump backwards to any scene you want by accessing backlog, there's no limit in jumping backward so can keep doing that until you back to square one ROOTDOUBLE takes place in fictional location in Japan called Rokumei City far distant into future (AD 2030). Running the risk of exposing in nuclear radiation, the nine characters must do every mean necessary to survive. As they move on, they uncover several mysteries that occurred right in that closed space. Overwhelmed by stress and fear, paranoid and malice, the player's determination will be put into test, should their most honest "feeling" able to save all nine souls and uncover all the mysteries that surrounding them?
