Preventing Original Infant Trauma When Possible For The Prevention Of Schizophrenia (Part One)

Awhile back I left my place of employment to keep a midday appointment with my Memory Hack Review  doctor for a routine matter that is not relevant to this story. I sat in the waiting room filled with nothing more than a few small displays stocked with drug company pamphlets a row of about ten fairly comfortable chairs and Spanish and English posters taped to the walls both delivering the exact same message. I always enjoy comparing the two versions in the hopes of improving my Spanish grammar and adding to my vocabulary. Its a little mental exercise I do while staving off boredom every time I visit my doctor.

A little more than half an hour past my appointment time the nurse appeared and ushered me into one of the two examination rooms. Here I began another wait that would have me sitting on an examination table covered with that thin rolled out paper everybody is familiar with biding my time for yet another twenty minutes. Finally when the doctor arrived we exchanged pleasantries; she discussed my concerns took my blood pressure then casually confirmed that the reading was unusually high and asked me to tell her what medications I was currently taking. That was the defining moment that triggered the drama that followed.

I was perfectly lucid. I was feeling perfectly fine so I figured that maybe one of my regular medications had to be readjusted. But you know what I couldnt remember the name of anything I took on a regular basis. Ive renewed these prescriptions a million times; Ive discussed the medications often with several people as well as my doctor and pharmacist and Ive read the names on reports I receive every month from my HMO. Their identities were on the tip of my tongue but I was unable to process their names. She then asked me for my address and my home phone number and in both instances I came up equally empty. In fact everything she asked me went unanswered because at that precise time I was experiencing a nightmare of a memory lapse in the heart of a perfectly beautiful afternoon.

My doctor cautioned me that driving back to my job was not in my best interest and recommended that I allow her to call an ambulance that would transport me directly to the hospital. How could I say no. When the EMTs came into the room where I was waiting they asked me to lie on a gurney that would wheel me through the parking lot to the ambulance. Halfway there I asked one of the men if they would be good enough to pass by my car so I could get my cell phone that was routinely banned from the doctors facility and was told that they were sorry for not being able to accommodate my request but regulations clearly forbade it. Oh boy.
