Ever had that itching desire to break out of hell and into the highest reaches of heaven? In Party of Sin, you take control of the Seven Deadly Sins in a coopetitive puzzle-platformer for 1-4 players.

Master a large, dynamic team of anti-heroes -- the Seven Deadly Sins -- as you forge your destiny on a quest to troll humanity. Envy, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony are all multi-dimensional with special powers useful in many situations.

Swap characters on the fly as you change tactics based on the situation: ALL the Sins are useful in combat, ALL the Sins aid in puzzle solving, and ALL the Sins have coop interactions, both Good and Evil.

Adventure: A full 6 to 8 hours of gameplay is provided, in both solo and coop modes. Play over 20 levels on your adventure through Hell, Purgatory, Earth and Heaven. Upgrade your Sins in the shop by collecting God's forbidden apples. Five bosses like the Demon Narwhal and the Airship Captain stand in your way.

Solo: Being alone requires more thought and planning as you make your escape from hell. Challenging puzzles and battles that will force you to combine powers in creative ways await you.

Coop: You are not alone! Play with up to 3 of your friends and combine the sin powers in new and sinister ways. You will discover that all your powers that work on enemies also work on other sins. Use them to help the team or punish bad behaviour.

Inspired by known classics: Super Smash Bros, Zelda, Super Mario. Party of Sin takes the best games of your youth and melts them down into a sinful super-game. Powers are adapted from classic mechanics like grappling hooks and time-shifting.

Religious Theme: Explore four biblical worlds as you make your way from the depths of Hell to the vaults of Heaven, one angel at a time. Fight enemies based in Christian mythology like demons, angels, cherubs and templars. Take the final fight to Saint-Michael himself!

I don't recommend this game. NO! Stop. This is garbage. The drawings are elementary level at best, like disproportionate crayon scribble, with many characters rendered simply as shadows. The main pro(an)tagonist of the angels isn't even rendered. The story is preposterous. Gameplay feels about like Diddy Kong. This game angers me. I want the sins, the angels, the devil.. all of them to die. What a party?!. Disgusting gaem!?!?!?!. This game had so much potential but as I am completely unable to change the controls and even after trying how they are, this game is unplayable and I am leaving disappointed. If the option to be able to change the controls from the 'god awful' WASD scheme to a custom setting, I would truly love this game.

But at this time, I am pleading a pass and I wish I could have asked for a refund instead of idling for the cards for the game. I would gladly give the .35 that I earned from the card sales to be able to pass on this game.

Just go play Trine you fool.. I used to have a review for this, but I decided it needed a second, more detailed look.
"Party" of Sin is an appropriate name, as it is clearly meant for a group of friends. Solo, the game is barely playable. Puzzles require quickly swapping back and forth between characters, and there are seven to manage, which is pretty difficult solo, especially if you're trying to get one of the time trials. However, it's local co-op only. No online play. Not even LAN. Local only.
The keyboard controls are almost impossible to manage. The game was clearly made with a controller in mind. Unfortunately, the controller controls can't be rebinded, so hopefully you like the ones they give you. Which you shouldn't, because they're nonsensical.
My biggest gripe with this game is a pretty petty one, but it's a huge pet peeve of mine. All the depictions of the seven deadly sins are based on the perpetrators of the sins: Wrath is an angry demon, Pride is a handsome dude, Sloth is a lazy girl, etc... except, obviously, Lust, who is a scantily-clad woman with a whip. I'm kind of sick of seeing this in every modern depiction of the seven deadly sins. Either have them all be the perpetrators, or all be the victims. Stop making Lust the only exception for tittilating to the hetero male market. And this is from someone who likes playing the hot female characters in things. It's blatant pandering, and it gets completely ignored.
If you have a friend or two and a bunch of controllers, it can be a fun puzzle platformer for a few hours. But otherwise, I'd stick to vandalizing churches.
4/10, I don't know anyone at this party and the host isn't old enough to serve booze.
