About This Game

Mechanism - - an adventure game about a lonely robot. Dive into a depressive steampunk world which has been infected with a strange disease called "Phlegm".

A lone robot wakes up and finds out that his world has changed dramatically. Black tumors called Flegma are everywhere and have caused the death of countless robots. Our hero is totally lost, just as you are. What happens to the world depends only on your choices.

Explore the world of "Mechanism", which changes based on your actions.
Solve riddles using various objects but be careful because Flegma can harm not only organic beings, but robots as well.
Game mechanics based on the character's contamination level.
A lot of exploration, similar to the "Souls" game series! Find every secret corner of every location to understand what happened to the world.

- Worst camera imaginable. Wrong position, bad frustum or FoV, shaky, unstable, constantly zooming in and out, and blurring like you wouldn't believe. It doesn't only mess with my stomach, it also gives me a headache.
- Broken settings menu with inaccessible options only lead me to make things worse.
- Broken controls, with robot moving forward on its own. To its death, of course, so you can redo a lot of crap because...
- ...No free save. That revolutionary feature that requires 1 more neuron and less coding effort, and makes pretty much every other shortcoming bearable.

Dev claimed those bugs were fixed, in the forum. They were not. I waited 6 months and came back. Still not fixed. No update. Looks like Dev took the money and ran.

Don't bother.. Put 20 hours into this game. Really intrigued by it. Learning to move with the mouse driven camera took a while. Once I had a better understanding of what and where things were, I started a new game. However, I have given up though because of inconsistent behavour / bugs. Last straw was not being able to pick up a lever needed to call train.
I'll wait until there is a later version and try again.

I read a lot about you and the story of this game. I'm amazed. U have done so good job with the Unity engine. And as far as i know you're only 23 years old. Well done! I have not played this game enough to say anything valid about the story, but so far it's just thrilling.

I hate to point out flaws cos they are imo easy to fix, but do something about the camera. Maybe slow down the movement pace a bit (i don't mean the mouse speed but on some corners the cam moves too fast while trying to "aim" on somehting) And like someone already pointed out, the noclip issues. Dsr support is missing too cos no support yet for fullscreen?

Those are just trivial downsides and have nothing to do with the actual gameplay and the story which are great.

I'm so sold. Every1 should buy&play this game. Love it.

Hello! I'm still working on camera movement imporvments and occlusion culling problem (when objects dissapear). And I think I've got it.

Greetings! Update 1.07 is out!

Major fixies:

Fixed problem with dissapearing interactive objects or progress cleaning. The problem was in the old serialization method. The save system was rewritten, but you should start a new game in order to avoid files conflicts.
Optimization fixed, especially in the main location. Up to +10 fps in some cases.
Many other small fixies.

Currently I'm working on a special event for the New Year holiday. Very interesting gift will be waiting for the most interested players :)
