Carbohydrates may be delineated as any collection of organic compounds, including gums, sugars, starches, and celluloses. They provide the body with a key source of energy. Every carbohydrate turns into glucose at some point, though bad carbohydrates go through this process much faster than good ones do.

Bad carbs are the antithesis of good ones in that they are altered into glucose at such a fast rate that one's body does not have anywhere to store the sugar. With this said, people will get a shot of energy that lasts for a short time with bad carbs. The rest of this energy will end up in their fat cells, with the end result of them gaining more weight. In general, people should look to limit the amounts of bad carbs that they eat.

If they wish to maintain a healthy lifestyle, individuals need to limit items from the list of bad carbohydrate foods as much as possible. These foods include but are not limited to any pastas/breads composed of white flour; ice cream; white rice; honey; sugar; bagels; and much more. A profusion of additional such foods can be found online.

At this point in time, people should note that they will not necessarily gain weight by consuming bad carbs. The key is that they can eat them in moderation. To illustrate this, while it is fine for a person to have a half cup of mashed potatoes, eating three servings is not a good idea.

Good carbs that can serve to substitute bad ones can handily be found online. In a general sense, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains are good carbohydrates. Foods labeled as good carbs are usually low in sugar and fat, and it takes a while for the body to transform them into sugar, or glucose.

In summary, a list of bad carbohydrate foods is filled with foods that individuals should look to stay away from in their quests to live in a healthy manner. While bad carbs should be avoided, foods from the list of bad carbohydrate foods are fine to eat in moderation.
