Is playing recorder always the same? Is it not exciting? Well, that's different with Flute Master! Here you will learn to play soprano recorder while experiencing a great adventure in the world of music.

Flute Master is part of the Classplash Music series and focuses on teaching the basics of recorder flute by gradually introducing each note in a game environment, showing correct recorder fingering positions and providing music sheets for all tracks.

Q: Why is it called Flute Master if it teaches the recorder?
A: In some European countries - namely Portugal, where Classplash was born - "flute" (flauta) refers to the recorder flute. Only when talking about other flutes do we specify the type of flute (ex: transverse flute). This felt easier to understand for some non-english languages. On sale at 5.99, good deal. Watch out for the fingering given for 'low f' (f on the staff), as a lot of recorders (Baroque\/English) use a different one for tuning purposes. This game was made for the German soprano recorder, which is a bit out of style- the fingerings are easier for beginners with the German, but it's harder to stay in tune. Now I have played the game for 10 hours and I have finished all the basic levels. I have to practice more for the X level and DLC songs.

There are not many good games for instrument practice and I only know about this one for soprano flute (recorder).
I only wish there would be an option for alto flute. It would be also nice to have an editor for new songs.. Rocksmith but for the soprano recorder! I bought a soprano recorder baroque just for this game (they are very cheap) and now I am learning very quickly and easily how to play some tunes (without having to read sheet music). Very cool game and very cheap. I hope they add more songs!. I really love to play music instrument but music related game and education on steam is very limited and i mainly play bass and guitar on rocksmith 2014, this game bring new experience to me.
