I just read about eagles and how the little eaglet struggles to get out of the shell. It picks and picks its way oh, so slowly out. The momma and papa eagles do not help the eaglet. If someone did help, that little eaglet would die. It is in the process of struggling, of picking its way out of the shell, that the eaglet sharpens its beak. That sharp beak is one of the "tools" that enables an eagle to rule the skies.
