Elvaloy® AC Resins Offer Vertsatile Masterbatch Carrier Resin Functionality

As a masterbatch carrier resin for PA6, PA66, PET, PBT, PE, PP, ABS, PC blends and PVC, DuPont Elvaloy AC helps efficiently introduce pigments, fillers and performance additives.masterbatch manufacturing process
Using Elvaloy AC masterbatch carrier resin can improve acceptance and dispersion of a wide range of plastics additives and functional fillers such as pigments, flame retardants, slip agents, antiblock, antioxidants, UV stabilizers, antifog agents, antimicrobial, carbon black, TiO2, or blowing agents.
The highly heterogeneous molecular structure of DuPont Elvaloy AC resins make them an ideal masterbatch carrier resin with versatile performance in PA, PET, PBT, PE, PP, ABS, PBT/ABS blends, PC, ABS/PC blends and PVC. The TEM micrographs in Figures 1 and 2 show the compatibility of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) with Elvaloy AC versus an alternative ethylene-methyl-acrylate resin from a non-DuPont manufacturing process.
Elvaloy® AC masterbatch carrier resins often can improve compounding efficiency for difficult-to-disperse ingredients. The broad compatibility of Elvaloy AC with polar and non-polar materials can enhance toughening properties and stress cracking resistance of the final compounds.
Finished compounds can be made with low Elvaloy AC loading levels for cost savings. The superior thermal stability of Elvaloy® AC resins (especially the EMA copolymers) allows use of higher melt temperatures versus other masterbatch carrier resins, and can help reduce sticking in feed hopper.
DuPont™ Elvaloy® AC masterbatch carrier resins (especially the EBA copolymers) can improve compound low-temperature flexibility. Elvaloy® AC masterbatch carrier resins often can improve compounding efficiency for difficult-to-disperse ingredients. The broad compatibility of Elvaloy AC with polar and non-polar materials can enhance toughening properties and stress cracking resistance of the final compounds.
