DISTRUST, aka "Don't sleep" It's a small game, you just need about 4-5 hours to complete it, let's say 15 for all endings. It's simple and you get how it works very quickly NO NO SIDE - Too short - Not "many endings". It actually only has 3, and one of the 3 can only be unlocked with a character that you can only find randomly, so let's just say 2 endings. - Absolutely NO narrative. This is NOT story rich. Feels mechanical, and nothing would change if characters were replaced by floating toasters. - Since the game is too short, they filled it with unlockable characters that are completely useless and need several runs to be unlocked. - Not at all inspired by "The Thing" as advertised - Why "Distrust"? Trust is never mentioned or used.. Clunky interface and repetitive gameplay. Not about The Thing, but still interesting to play.. When you cannot even be bothered to do something as simple as spell checking your own game that's where I stop.. Wanna cook some food? 20 seconds of standing still doing nothing. Eat that food? 10 seconds. Repair a thing? 30 more seconds. Stoke a fire? 20 seconds. Loot something? 10 seconds. Take a nap to recover from madness? 100 seconds. Maybe it's more tolerable when you're controlling all of the characters separately, but that's honestly kind of a pain in theu2665u2665u2665u2665u2665 Co-op is fun for a little while because you can just focus on what you're doing, but then the constant waiting gets to be really annoying.. I got this game on discount. I loved the idea, the style, and the survival theme. However, the constant crashes I had to endure to even get pass the first zone is unbelievable. Not sure if this only happens on Mac, BUT, the game frequently crashed and reset the game progress to the last save. And the game only auto-saved after each zone. You COULD "save and quit" and re-enter the game every 5 minutes but who wants to do that? Oh, and when you died, you start over (from the beginning). I suspected that the game crashed when it needed to send data over the Internet and fails. I don't always have a wifi connection. So i tried to play in Offline Mode, but worse things happened. It would crash on the menu screen, mess up the graphics, even crashed my Mac a few times. I tried in Offline Mode about 7-8 times but all resulted in game crash or system crash. Finally I got a stable wifi connection and got up to zone 3. I was starting to enjoy the game until (surprise) the game crashed again. Such a good game, too bad I don't get to play it..
