About This Game

Story

Lives of several ordinary people are at the center of the story.
Robert is a schoolteacher who can make some money by robbing ancient graves.
Joe is a regular guy who went on a fascinating trip to the seaside, together with his girlfriend and other friends.
Andrew is an antique dealer who settled down in an old fire tower opening his store in it.
They all came to Aksaypolis at different times and for various reasons. Yet their lives got entangled because of the dangerous mysteries that are still present in this place. Each of them got exposed to some mystical effects, so if they want to stay alive, they must figure out what to do without losing control of their being. The force that is paramount in Aksaypolis is pitiless. They can confront it only if they stand together.

Aksaypolis

This rather humble provincial town on the seaside is, in fact, one of the world’s oldest settlements. Long before humans invented the wheel, some peoples who names did not survive in history erected their sacrificial altars here in order to perform their abominable rituals.
Eras, people, millenniums passed here. Ancient Greeks who gave the town its name lived here, just as numerous nomad tribes which kept fighting each other in the never-ending war for the control of the steppe. And the Necropolis of Aksaypolis expanded more and more, each time reminding people that they should not disturb forces which humans cannot grasp.
Even in the 20th century, at the height of human progress and development, the authorities making the decision to create a modern industrial center here built a large industrial area. But people have never lived in any of the new buildings. Just as no one has ever worked in the workrooms of the huge plant shaped as a pentagram. What remains here today are the carcass frames of the buildings partially submerged in the swampland—and locals have been avoiding this site for half a century.

Atrocity is a visual novella which interweaves lives of several people in a dramatic plot.

You will be able to change the plot: there are several endings to the game story, and each of your choices during the game may make the final outcome very different.
Realistic graphics – we tried to create totally believable characters. Plus to recreate for you the atmosphere of Aksaypolis’ mysterious realm.
Comprehensive content: dozens of images for the characters and the backgrounds, many arts and hundreds of thousands of text symbols.

Project Development

After the launch of the first two chapters (It's four chapters released now), we plan to release each of the next chapters within one or two following weeks. Content for all chapters is already available, and now we are involved in its translation and assembly.
Each new chapter will be available to users who have bought the game, immediately after its release.
On top of the main plot, we will create several free plot branches which will provide more information about Aksaypolis’ ancient history. a09c17d780

Atrocity is a visual novel with a dramatic plot of the story. The essence of the story lies in the fact that several different people for unusual reasons turned out to be in one of the oldest cities in the world, about which this novel actually tells us. It is worth noting that the game is very well filled with a big number of visual content, the authors are clearly not stingy with graphic elements. Special thanks for such a variety!. A good visual story for which you'll spend one or two evenings. The plot unfolds around one of the old cities - Aksaypolis, which holds many secrets. The city itself is a mix of industrial progress of the 20th century and ancient settlements. The authors have worked well to create an atmosphere of fear and despair, which is realised not only by the text, but also by art with sounds. This style is just very well perceived and contributes to immersion in the story.. It was my first time experiencing a visual horror novel and it was awesome! I liked making my own choices and just reading the lines. However, I wish I could walk around, because after an hour you kinda get bored of reading. By the way, what you\u2019re doing is amazing. Getting to experience things like this game for such a small price is really eye opening!. Visual novels thrive on good writing.
Unfortunately, Atrocity has some issues with grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
The story might be interesting but it is very hard to immerse when the characters are photo realistic against illustrated backgrounds.
