Food Groups. Take foods from all levels of the food pyramid, which means you shouldn't eat only one type of food and leave out the others. Try to have a balanced mix of everything: lots of vegetables and fruits, moderate amounts of proteins and little fat, sugar and salt. Do not forget carbohydrates too - without them, your body cannot function well! However, do practise moderation when eating. Use unsaturated oils such as olive oil in cooking - it is good for your heart.
