I was to discover that this Love was light years away from ourManifestation Magic usual conception of romantic love. Rather than being a sentimental and "heady" emotion associated with being infatuated and floating above the ground, this Love was in fact a powerful force. "Force" is not a word usually associated with love so it came as a bit of an eye-opener.This is what the Loving Fathers had to say on the matter.

"This Love has the ability to transform the small, constricted, negative, lifeless self into the expansive, open, positive, vibrant Self. Every aspect of one's being changes magically, one's perception, self-esteem, attitude, beliefs. The reason for this, you see, is that Love is the energy of the Higher Heart space and a very different dynamic indeed. Love is found within a space or zone one enters when one consciously inhabits the place of oneness, of non-separation. We call this level of consciousness the Love Space"

So "capital L Love" actually took us to a different level of consciousness! It seemed in this level of consciousness, our experience, perception, and reactions changed from the normal, more mundane level. Certainly I could relate to the somewhat lower level where I appeared to swing from love to resentment, hurt, anger and even a kind of everyday coexistence that resembled indifference. There were close times in my relationships but even, perhaps especially in my intimate relationships, there were areas which had become so sensitive that a few words could toss me into old, familiar reactiveness as surely as a knee-jerk reaction will result from a simple tap on the knee.

During these times, the "other" took on almost enemy status in my mind. He was the attacker and I, the innocent victim of his lack of consideration and inexplicable and arbitrary need to accost and belittle. Into this scenario I could then inject old well-worn agendas such as injustice and the unfair treatment of women. I could actually take a small exchange and make it an issue of almost international and ethical significance.
