Protein helps build muscle, and we all know that more muscle requires more amounts of calories to be converted into energy rather than fat.

There are also foods that are classified as "zero-calorie", and you need to consume more of these foods. The term "zero-calorie" does not necessarily mean that these foods do not contain calorie, but it indicates that your body needs to burn more calories in order to break down these foods than what they contain in the first place. Fresh fruits and vegetables, especially those that have high water content, are perfect examples of zero-calorie foods.
