Lets start with what is Paleo. Paleo is a shortened term of Paleolithic. The Paleo way of eating means we are trying to eat in the same way as primitive man. This is why you will also called this the caveman diet. Contrary to popular belief paleolithic man did not eat meat, meat and more meat. According to recent research cavemen had quite a reasonable diet and although he may have been eating more meat than we do now, he was only eating things his body could digest easily and safely.

Paleolithic man ate some meat some vegetables and of course fruit and also nuts. He was eating the things he could forage from the land. This diet is what the human body was designed to eat so some of the modern grains are not particularly digestible to the human body. Although it does manage to digest these things it does so under protest with a consequence of illness caused by eating the wrong foods.We know that people can have intolerance's to certain foods, but those intolerance's are normally due to eating the modern foods that our bodies were not designed to eat. This can make it awkward for some people to find the foods that their body agrees with or agrees with their body. Most of these intolerance's are due to moving too far away from the foods we were designed to eat.

It is not just the types of foods we eat but also the modern intensive farming methods that have had a great effect on our dietary consumption. Today farmers seem to spend more time putting chemicals on their crops to increase the yield than they do worrying about whether those chemicals or even the crops they are growing are fit for human consumption. Today it all about getting the most bang for your buck and not about whether we are eating healthy foods.
