I wouldn't make this software your first option if I were you. It's very confusing to understand and it's available tutorials don't help at all. The tutorial mostly describe what the features mean and rarely explain how to use them, and when they do describe how to use these features properly, it doesn't translate well in practice when copying step by step and you have to figure out how to use this program on your own. Knowing some coding previous to this software this doesn't help and figuring out how to connect codes is mostly trial and error than coding. I downloaded this because using Renp'y before, after a long time of coding, my games would randomly delete themselves, so I decided to get another visual novel software. I saw the views were high for this one, but now I'm convinced they're not genuine views. It is not at all easy to learn, it's not user friendly and it's not worth 60 dollars compared to Renpy or Tyrano Builder, one of which I didn't even try fully yet but know for a fact it's more user friendly than this. I can't even code something as basic as a condition without going through 50 tutorials looking out how to specifically connect everything here. I can see there's some work and effort put into it, but the quality is not at all worth 60 dollars at all.. I am writing this review as a warning for those who are on the brink of buying this piece of software. First off, this is not a Japanese product, but developed by a single person in Germany, as is stated on the official website. "Visual Novel Maker is developed by Andr\u00e9 R..". This explains the long waiting between patches and updates, the lack of essential QoL stuff, the lack of essential features, and the total JOKE of a tutorial (bad English with no effort put into it). Beware of pressing the buy button! The best thing I have to say about this piece of software is that I was able to get a refund... You have been warned. This software is being developed by a single person in his free time. The price is a scam.. Not liked visual novel maker , you cant add a backgrund or so at all on the empty project, lucky I maybe I get a refund I used it less than 1 hour,
