Almost two years after a virus wiped out most of the human race, Phil Miller only wishes for some company, but soon gets more than he bargained for when that company shows up in the form of other survivors.
This is the story about the life and adventures of the last man on Earth. Phil Miller was once just an average guy who loved his family and hated his job at the bank - now he's humanity's last hope. Will he ever find another person alive on the planet? Would hoping that she is a female be asking too much?
This will be one of those short lived series.

The show had a lot of potential as countless others have mentioned. Last person on Earth, what would you do? Sooooo much potential there.

It quickly became the last couple on Earth, followed by the next to last man on Earth, etc., etc.

The founding principle for the show was violated right off the bat, and as with most shows grasping to stay alive, the plot line gets stranger and more twisted with each episode. I'm surprise its coming back for a second season, IMHO it will probably be the last.

Nothing against the actors, their all very good and believable. The downfall is the writing/production. Did you watch the pilot? And you said: "interesting"? What was it that you said at the end of the first season or after few episodes? "It's an epic fail of developing once a good idea for TV show!" Or you think otherwise? If so, just watch another episode and decide then. But be prepared for twenty minutes of pointless drama with every new episode. At this point it would be just best to sit down whoever is writing this, calmly tell them : "hey man, you're tripping, we'll continue when you fell better". Cmon, 7.5 rating at this point? Nah.. 4.5 and going down. Unfortunately.
