Deep in the woods of Maine, a broken promise made after the September 11th attacks forces two friends to confront the teenagers they were and the men they've become.
Okay, this isn't the best movie I ever saw, and the cinematography was less than stellar at times, but all in all, it was a good watch.

Did any one else notice that the little brother just disappeared halfway through the movie? When the mom dies, suddenly dad is living with his son and son's wife and the younger brother is never seen or spoken about again. For one, I'm not really an emotional kind of guy but there is something about war movies that always gets me, my wife will tell you. Thing is, this is not really a war movie. Rather, it is the story of how war can have lasting effects on friendship, family and one's humanity. "Heroes Don't Come Home" really struck a cord with me and the emotions portrayed by the actors really hit home and felt real. It truly is a heartfelt story that really tugged at my emotions. There's a message in the film and, although I'm not a soldier, it was relatable to both soldier and civilian. A great film that I would love to have in my library of movies.
