The first thing you need to do is to let go of the past. No BS Manifesting Course Review   I'm not saying you forget about everything that happened before the trauma arrived, but you need to understand that your present life now has to be different than the life you had before the trauma. Things are different, everything has changed, and you're going to need to look forward and focus on creating a new life rather than hold onto the past, now irrelevant, life you used to lead. You can no longer define yourself according to what used to be. The main pains in life come from holding on to some dream of a life that you can no longer lead, and the sooner you can let go of those fantasies and embrace that things need to change, the better off you will be, the better prepared you'll be to embrace the changes you need to make.

Next, you need to make a real, solid commitment to making the changes that you need to make in your life. Let's take someone who was always very healthy and was always deeply into exercise who became significantly injured and now needs to get back into exercising and being healthy. This person needs to make a real commitment to themselves and to others to regain this part of their life. They should tell everyone they know, they can join some sort of online forum, they can write the commitment to themselves and post it around their house where it will be visible. If this person doesn't want to make quite so large a commitment, than they can simply tell a couple people whom they respect and whom they wouldn't want to let down. Making the commitment takes a goal and transforms it into something outside of just your own head.

Giving yourself a 30 day challenge that corresponds to whatever changes you need to make in your life is another great way to come back and adjust to your new life. For instance, if you've recently ended a significant relationship in your life, than you have to adjust to meeting new people again. In that case, you might give yourself the challenge of going out and meeting one new person a day for 30 days in a row. Giving yourself a 30 day challenge ensures that you begin to take concrete actions to recreate your life in a way that is relevant to your new life.

Whatever you do, the most important step to creating a new life after some major trauma is understanding that you must change. Sometimes change comes slowly, sometimes it comes suddenly to shake us up. However it comes, you must do what you have to to move with life.The concept of a 30 day trial for testing and establishing new habits is nothing new to personal growth. I first read about it years ago from guru blogger Steve Pavlina. The concept is simple if there's something you want to test out in your life you commit to trying it out for 30 days straight. After those days are done, you'll be ready to make a more informed decision about whether you want to implement the trial as a permanent part of your life or not. Most people can wrap their heads around doing something for only 30 days, but the stretch still gives you a representative experience with the new habit or lifestyle change. While simple, 30 day trials still have a couple of tricks to them that help you get through the month of change.
