Shanghai Masters prize money revealed, Roger Federer can earn big cheque

The Rolex Shanghai Masters has a record $9,2 million prize money for this year's tournament, and is the most lucrative Masters 1000 in this aspect. This is the highest prize cheque after the four Grand Slams. The one is closer is Indian Wells that offered $1,340,000 to the champion this year. Novak Djokovic would break the $120 million career prize money barrier by winning the title here.

The Serb earned $6.9 million by winning Wimbledon and US Open titles this year. The 2018 Shanghai finalist will get $667,000, while the two semi-finalists will get $335,000 each. Just competing in the first round of the main draw will see a player get $25,000.
