About This Game
Serment - Contract with a Devil (or Serment, for short) is a visual novel - dungeon crawler hybrid where you play as a girl who was revived by a beautiful devil.Though, instead of claiming our heroine’s ever so cliche human soul, the devil demands a huge sum of money for payment. If the payment comes even one day late, the heroine's soul will return to the afterlife.
And so, her light-hearted, comedic adventure to save up enough money before the deadline begins.
Despite the dark sounding premise, the majority of Serment will be light-hearted slice of life events (more commonly known as cute girls doing cute things).

Dungeoncrawler with great art of cute girls and a little bit of visual novel.
absolutly recommend it.. Neat little dungeon crawler with a very light VN touch.. Great game, if you want to see all routes, you must complete all character classes because they are tied to the respective class character.. tl;dr Not recommended, even on sale.
Unbelievably lazy design. The story is practically nonexistent, and while the character style and art are fine, that's not nearly enough to carry this zero-effort game. I do appreciate that there are apparently multiple characters with their own story paths, the one I selected (the ninja) got almost no story beyond the central framing device outside of a couple of throwaway lines. The dungeon crawling is okay at first, until the later floors where the devs give up any semblance of justifying obstacles in your way and you run into a floating "Event" that on earlier floors would have at least been a little bit of character interaction or a lead-in to a boss, but instead just say "Obtain 2 X to advance" and then your party is bounced back with no explanation. They could have at least done this through the use of locked doors, but nope.
The music also stuttered out for me every time I took a step in the dungeon, leading me to become very familiar with about the first second or two of the dungeon theme. The rest of the music is serviceable, and the battle theme is honestly good. However, in total, this is not a very engaging game- they tried to split the difference between visual novel and dungeon crawler and wound up with both aspects being too weak to combine into an enjoyable whole.. Neat little dungeon crawler with a very light VN touch.. I've only played the game for about 3 hours and only on the 4th floor but enjoying the game very much so far. There's a lot I could say about how simple and great the tutorials are, how much I love the characters including tsundere maid, and about how absolutely ADORABLE the enemies are you murder in this game. But the best part about this game so far is how satisfying it is to paralysis lock a boss that is 8 levels higher than you. So if you like cheese strats in RPGs and fun but simple puzzle dungeons, then yeah, get this game.. tl;dr Not recommended, even on sale.

Despite what sounds like a scary or unfun looming time limit, this game has been updated and that is no longer even a valid concern. If you put in any effort whatever, you will be rolling in the gold. All the characters and creatures have great designs, and though I've only finished one route, I am excited to go through the other three routes to see what they have to offer in terms of romance and events.
With the news of an additional update coming in April with even more additional content, I'd recommend giving this game a try.. Neat little dungeon crawler with a very light VN touch.

It's been a while, but the next demo update is finally here!
- Added hotkeys explanations in the Codex dungeon manual (Instant battle and big map view)
- Dungeon movements keyboard controls can now be remapped in the Config menu (Only letter and number keys are accepted)
- Relocated floor 6's East waypoint
- Added 2 new waypoints to floor 6
- Increased movement speed inside the dungeon
- Added an option to disable walking animations in the dungeon (Can be found in the Gameplay tab in the Config menu)
- Fixed a bug with AOE skills sometimes not dealing damage to secondary targets
- Some minor tooltips edit
Known issue: Dungeon BGM sometimes stutters when holding down movement buttons in the dungeon
- This is caused by the walking SFX being played repeatedly at the same time as the BGM, which the Ren'Py game engine is not very comfortable with. Removing the code to play this SFX completely fixes this issue, but reducing its ingame volume to 0 doesn't, so unfortunately, players who encounter this issue can't get rid of it at the moment.
- We're still currently working on potential solutions to this problem.
It's been a while, but we're still alive and kicking!
Back in February, we mentioned we were working on a content update for Serment. It's now almost ready, and will go live on Monday, May 13.
The update will include several new events and gameplay features. Some important QoL features (Events preview in the map, for example) will also be added, as well as a couple of minor bug fixes.

It's been a bumpy ride, but Serment is now finally available for purchase, with a week-long 20% launch discount!
Serment was our first attempt at making a game, and the inexperience really led to a lot of delays. For that, we apologize. At the same time, we are very grateful for all of your encouragement and support.
Serment is not a perfect game by any means, but we hope it will give you an enjoyable time!
If you encounter any bugs or issues, please report them directly in the forum or to the email address posted there and we will try to address them as soon as possible.. Partial controller support has been added!:
We have just added several missing functions for controllers (backtracking in battle menus, adjusting config values, etc) in the latest demo build.
Aside from a few instances (for example, when entering the main character's name), the game should now be fully playable with a controller (please update the demo to the latest version before trying this out)!
Remember when we said there won't be many more changes to the demo unless it's a patch with new contents? Haha, gotcha!
- Fixed a potential crash in "all items" tab in the status screen
- Reduced lag in the status screen when having too many items in the inventory
- Fixed a crash in battles when "Auto-hide mouse" option is disabled
- Fixed a potential framedrop when previewing armor stats in the shopping and crafting menu

You might have realized that we're using some assets that you might have already seen. But why is that the case?
Since we announced 'Angel Precario' almost a year ago, we said that it will be free. Since that time, we have worked hard on the story and tried to keep the costs as low as possible. Due to the fact that we're a very small team, we don't have the resources that we want to have.
We had to pay for the software we're using, some additional content for the music, and the steam presence. We're also currently working on our main game 'Angel - The Silver Sword' which is a full RPG.
Why do we want to release 'Angel Precario' on steam?
We want to do that because it's the prequel to our main game 'Angel - The Silver Sword'. We want to give everybody the chance to play the prequel and enjoy the game, without searching the internet when you've read about it somewhere.
