Protecting Endothelial Platelet Function to Prevent Heart Disease

This type of exercise works the heart and lungs to strengthen them, making them more efficient at delivering oxygenated blood and fuel to the rest of the body. It involves raising the pulse and respiratory rates to a conditioning degree for 20 minutes or more for a minimum of three times a week. This can be done by exercising on treadmills, stationary bikes, going out for brisk walks, running, bicycling at a steady pace, swimming plus a multitude of other activities that get the blood and heart pumping.

So choose an activity that you enjoy, then get out there and do it. Thinking about it doesn't make it happen. If you need motivation, try a group activity. If you like music, try dance (bellydancing is a wonderful confidence booster and great fun!). If you find exercise boring or distasteful, it's probably because you are doing something you don't enjoy much. However, if you just plain hate to exert yourself, then you have to make a choice between sedentary living and good health, simple as that.
