England 1945: Working late, an arrogant textile scientist assures the failing factory's owner, Gregory Spain, he'll soon perfect his long-promised miracle fabric. After the owner heads home, the scientist urges a homeless man he just hired on to sweep out his lab, to try on one of the scientist's own suits, then knocks the janitor out and blows up the factory with a bomb. After serving 14 years for insurance fraud and for murdering the scientist, the factory owner traces the scientist, who framed him, to the U.S., where Spain hires Peter Gunn to flush his quarry out into his gun-sights.
In something different that what's usually pictured, this episode begins in Manchester, England, and the year is 1945. An employee is seen hitting a brand-new employee over the head and then blowing up the factory moments later. The boss of the company gets the blame and spends 14 years in jail. When he gets out, he discovers the man who set him up now lives in America. He travels to the U.S and hires Peter Gunn to find this man, which Gunn, of course, does.

The final segment of this is quite interestingGunn and Lt. Jacoby try to save the vengeful visitor from killing his foe.

The subject of "double jeopardy" also comes up and is debated whether it applies to this case. It's quite interesting.
Review - Pay Now, Kill Later Here again is a different group of settings from the sordid saloons and dumpy apartments, while no Mother's or Edie, it was fun to watch Pete follow the roads to settling the crime or at least making headway to exonerate himself and leave somethings for the courts to decide. Familiar actors' faces portraying parts quite becoming to their resumes. Vito Scotti, William Schallert and Helene Marshall were recognized immediately. Better than the norm and exciting following the action, strongly recommend viewing.
