Admittedly, I haven't spent much time with this yet. However, what I have played has been impressive. Gameplay-wise, the stealth mechanics are pretty good, and I like being able to set my own respawn point pretty much wherever I want (barring near enemies or on non-level surfaces). That said though the controls are a bit strange; wasd is used for movement (obviously), but many of the interaction keys are on the right side of the keyboard. This meant that both my hands were on the keyboard in order to do basic functions, and I assumed that aiming would also be a function of the keyboard and not the mouse. I was wrong about that assumption, and while after discovering this I was curious to see how I was supposed to play the game with its default controls it had crashed shortly afterward. However, this is the end of the negative thing I have about the game. On a visual level it does atmosphere very well, like a more crisp and detailed Limbo, and I love the light effects. Music has so far also been atmospheric, but I know that's something that people have mixed opinions about. Sound design is great; the quality of the sounds in nature, technologically advanced areas, and from enemies is wonderful. Taking this all into consideration then, my experience has been overall positive.. Another strange thing, where only the author can understand how to play it.. dont buy unless ur dumb and like watching a kids shillouete walk across the screen for 2 hours

. Disclaimer: I was a backer and translated the game to Brazilian Portuguese, so I have followed all the development.

This game is basicaly a one man endeavor, it is a 2d platformer with GREAT graphics. No, really, this guy must have had a lot of work implementing all the lighting effects that are top notch! Animations, sound and music are good. It is a tad short and some items and mechanics are not fully needed/fleshed out, but it is forgivable, because it is hard to cut things out. The exploration is a little hard, boss fights are nice.

The launch was a little shaky, with some bug that are being squashed daily. I found some, but nothing major. If there is one thing that I have to say that really annoyed me is that it uses frame skipping, and it doesn't work very well. I think this might be a little hard to implement in game maker, but this should be fixed. Even if at 95% of the game my graphics card can run it smoothly at 60fps, some scenes droped to a crawl, and I had to change the config midgame, since auto just seems to lock my gig at 30fps without any need.

So, I highly recommend the game!

PS: did I say the graphics are beautiful? There is even fluid mechanics on the smoke and fog! Very pretty.. Another strange thing, where only the author can understand how to play it.. I backed this when it was announced and spent some time with it. The aesthetic is fantastic and the story is instantly engaging. I was surprised how quickly I found empathy with the main character. If you enjoy platform games, it's definitely worth a look..
