Absolutely fun as hell, fast paced superhardcore space schmup pong.. this game is space pong it is beautiful. Awesomely fun local multiplayer. Want to have an arcadey LAN? Get Redshift Blueshift, Nidhogg and a Windjammer arcade cabinet, draft your tournament tables and prepare for the best time of your life. The controls are tight, the gameplay is intuitive and quick to pick up and completely skill-based, no RNG nonsense. Music and visuals are spot on, and the game runs very well vene on modest hardware. There isn't much to say about the game, it's very simple in a very VERY good way.. An excellent arcade style action game. Fast and chaotic yet finely tuned and responsive. The game's concept is straightforward enough to pick up and play quickly with friends, but mastering the timing and technique required to play against the difficult A.I. (or experienced human opponents) takes much longer. The game is playable in one or two player mode, though I've found it also works very well with more players trading off in local tournament style, as the increasing speed between points keeps the rounds short and intense. The game also features some great tunes, a bright and well animated pixelart style, and steam achievements to add extra challenges for both one and two player mode.. Very polished, easy to pick up, and great for quick 1v1 argument resolutions, haha.. This is hard to give a thumbs up to because it would be one of the greatest games on Steam if it didn'tt have some of the worst hitboxes in history and AI that doesn't have abilities relative to difficulty but is literally the same ship with all the impossible abilities, just dumbed down AI. It hurts, it really does, because it's basically a modern indie take on Twinkle Star Sprites in the fact that none of my friends will challenge me despite the game being awesome.. Had a great time playing it with a friend for a half an hour. Itu2019s got great polish, sharp/stylistic visuals, awesome music and a cheeky name. The tennis/arkanoid/pong bits mixed in with shoot-u2018em-up elements make Redshift Blueshift feel fresh, familiar and accessible. Iu2019d totally recommend grabbing it for casual meet-ups with friends or tucking it away on a USB drive for boring classes.. While One Ship Two Ship Redshift Blueshift is well made and highly polished, it is woefully too simple for modern indie gaming - and certainly too simple for that nine dollar price tag. Even at under a buck, I feel I overpaid considering it's a 90% off sale. It's just two paddles cranking a ball back and forth. There is a gun you can use, but it doesn't really add any layers of complexity or anything interesting. Pros: +The program as a whole-package is well developed +The art and music are great +The controls were as tight as I'd expect Cons: -The game mechanic is not nearly enough for a game to stand on in this day and age Go for Leathal League, trust me on this. It's the same principal with a modernized vision.
