I've rarely review Early Access games, but this one stuck with me enough to spur me into action. It fills a niche I've sought after for a while: a good Visual Novel with equally solid gameplay mechanics. It plays a good bit like the 'Escape Velocity' series of games, but with a much better interface for story and choices. The art is gorgeous, the story engaging, and the gameplay is satifying in both depth and challenge.. I played this game in Early Access so I've played the first 3 chapters as of right now.. There's always at least one jackass that leaves a negative review of a game. I promise I'm not trying to be that jackass. I wanted to like this game. But. It's just not that great. It's a great concept, but poorly executed. The opening gives you motion sickness, as you're reading text while the background is flying by you at mach 3, and the characters are drunkenly wobbling from side to side. (Maybe they have motion sickness too?) The controls for the flying/action part of the game are unintuitive and clunky. Now I understand that the controls are reminiscent of a classical 2d top down flyer, where W moves you forward, no matter what direction you are facing, but I didnt have a chance to get used to the controls, as even the first level on "Easy" has a billion particles flying at you, trying to kill you. Speaking of getting used to the controls, once you DO die that first time, during the flying seuyqence, you have no recourse, but to start the entire game over from the beginning, and go through all of your choices, and click through all of the dialogue. If this game were still in early access, then of course I would be forgiving of this. But as a final product, I would say skip this one for now.. Pretty good game, love the characters and story. Requires allot of work but it will offer a good time for any one else buying this before its done. Only buy the game if you want to support the development. About 3 - 4 hours to finish the game in its current state. Update: Game has been updated, some minor dialog issues and one major bug that is annoying but doable, from start to end would take about 9 - 12 hours to finish the current game on normal. 12.05.2017 If you don't already own this i would recommend you grab it if you like a good story with plenty of action, decent ammount of choices and allot of reading.Its far from perfect but what is there is pretty good. 05.09.2018 Finished the game and i had a good time, the ending was a bit sudden and it would have been nice if it had been longer but all in all i am happy with what we got, tho i did not like the ending much as it felt unresolved to me as far as the character relations goes. Would have been nice with an after story arc but i doubt we will get one now that the game is out.. By no means is it perfect but I defenetly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone who's even remotely considering buying it.. Omni Link is an great game with a good main story. You need to choose some choices but they don't have big influences in the story right now. The story is beautiful designed but it needs more quests and side stories. Right now you nearly jumping from one mission to the next. To the story: You are Keb somehow the destiny drives you to meet "Dawn" a kind of Cyborg/AI that will change your whole life you meet dangerous troubles, pepoal and new allies. What will the future hold up for you ? Will you change the fate of the galaxy ? The Spaceships are interesting designed some even have cool special features, but the controls isn't that smooth as it should be. Sometimes im asking myself why does AI doing a better job in spacefights than the player. The world looks a bit empty there should be more random events and more different spaceships. If you playing on the now highest degree of difficulty, it's still a bit too easy but with some adjustments it could be heavier. Sound designing is good but sometimes it could happen that there is no music nor sound and only after a few minutes it switches on again. I recommend it for the kind of player that wants to have a great main story. If you still unsure follow this product or buy it in a sale. [7.8/10] Points Something i would like to have as DLC is the song in the Trailer with all soundtracks and the art book.(Share your opinion in the comments if you like)
