In the middle of Antarctica, a highly maximum security prison called New Alcatraz is fully operational. When a mining crew inside the prison runs across a strange rock formation. After it breaks out of the formation, the snake goes on a killing rampage inside the prison.To get help, scientists and a group of soldiers must eliminate the snake before it takes over the prison, leaving the humans on the bottom of the chain.

i rented this movie because i like animals/monsters/crawlers movies but felt cheated after watching this, nothing new here ,"new alcatraz" as a title couldnt help get my attention in the first place,but as fan of the genre i dont recommend the fans to buy this movie,specially after the movie been released as "BOA" in DVD format to fool us with that snake cover.

i have to mention there are plot-holes here and there too, the cast were boring (except the last 25 mins)the location & camera work was nice though, hmmm..the CGI wasnt a good thing either in this b-(c) grade flick, the snake looked like it came from a pc game or something,the result= the movie absolutly lacked fright and gore which coulda save the movie, overall :dont waste you money on this trash,instead rent/buy "CUJO" im sure you will have heck of good time watching a rabid dog attacking people :))))))))) I watched this film solely because i am a Dean Cain fan. Well apart from the fact that this is one gorgeous talented man, (the part in the classroom where Dr. Robert Trenton (Cain) looked like Clark Kent reminded me of L&C (and also it takes place at Princeton where Cain was educated) and would have been recognised by a Dean fan, this movie was simply awful. Dean must have needed the money. The ending was simply unbelievable in the fact that i thought perhaps it was supposed to be a comedy it was so ridiculous. Not one of his best, just best forgotten
