About This Game

METAGAL is an 2D platformer action game.

You will take the shoes of "Meta" ,a cyborg girl, in her quest to rescue her Creator "Dr Ray" from the hands of "General Creeper", the evil leader of a rogue army!!
Also Metagal's sisters, were kidnapped by Creeper: he turned them in battle cyborgs, in order to use their powers to rule the world!! Meta must face her sisters, free them, and copy their abilities. She must fight for 8 stages of intense action, and prepare herself for the final confrontation against Creeper himself!

This game is pretty hard, and if I remember correctly, there are little to no waypoints in the long stages. If you want to play a megaman-esque game, and have already beaten the crap out of 20XX, then maybe this would cure your craving.. It's alright but needs some sound effect revisions. Some levels have weird design but the price matches the game content fairly. I found myself able to understand the stages after only making just a few mistakes. My only real gripe is the hitboxes on some explosions reminding me of dying to smoke clouds in bomberman. Gorgeous pixel art and tight controls.

Felt compelled to write a review based on the negative reviews on the store, I am baffled. I truely believe all the negativity comes from people finding the game too hard. This game has infinite continues and a unique respawn mechanic taking the place of finite lives. It is not hard.

It is no harder than They Bleed Pixels, Rex Rocket or Shovel Knight. Its about as hard as the later MegaMan games, maybe.

I cool little gem of a game well worth the asking price that deserves more love.. i have played the game oviously and the game is pretty good i aint good at megaman 1 and i can tell this tock alot of insperation from megaman franchise but this is megaman 1 with a girl i mean gal and with megaman x dash jump and alot of refrences to how megaman was inspired from anime and dr ray aka ray from mighty no9 now i like the game but its way to hard i think a checkpoint thing should be in the game for new pepole but not give them achivements for beating the game on easy because i got this game for my sister and she put the gamedown in 5 minutes and i been trying all the stages and cant beat one maybe a guide could be helpful but i try avoid guides so i rate this game for now 5/10 sorry personal rateing. I have NO CLUE with what people are saying about "bad level design" or "bad animations". They obviously never played a megaman game before. This reminded me of the first X game in difficulty and, to a degree, music. And I know this joke is overused, but Mighty No. 9 is inferior to this. I hope a sequel is made for this game. (oh and if you don't like what I said, then bite me! ;)). Another Megaman clone better than Failure #9. The game controls pretty smoothly and has the feel and difficulty of Megaman 2. My only compliants is the way you charge the Megabuster is a bit... odd and unnatural to me, and the music so far just seems to be the same track but with a slight remix, which feels a bit lazy and shoddy to me. Other than that, a pretty good game with a few minor issues. If you like 20XX and want something else to tame your Megaman addiction, or just want to play something that reminds you of the good old days with our favorite Blue Bomber, definitely give it a shot so these guys can possibly make an even better product in the future. :3. So this is my first review on the game, after playing it for several minutes, i got to say I enjoy it so much! it's good to see that this game was made in homage to the Megaman series, my most favorite gaming series since I was a child. Game is fairly new and fun at the same time, alhough I suggest there should be a fix where when I dash I can be able to jump at any instant, rather than dashing and the moment I try to jump it does not allow me to do so. Very fun game and if you where a fan of Megaman, i highly suggest you play Metagal! :D. The mechanics are straight out of the NES Megaman series, but slower paced because of limited bullets that recharge over time. The music and sounds are terrible and unmemorable and the enemies and bosses are unoriginal and easy.. Unpolished and unbalanced at times.

Sound quality is not up to par with the visuals. What I mean with this is that theres very little amount of sounds, and at times it makes the game feel really muted and barren.

Stage design can be completely unbalanced at times. You will be on situations where you cant really see beforehand whats you have to do.

The weapons from the bosses are not very good for regular use except for one (1 of 4 weapons). However the game will require you to use all of them to get past some areas, so they didnt go to waste completely.

Besides that, the music is nice and the boss fights are actually good.
The controls are very good, but the movement has a "light" feeling.
Also once you beat the game once you can choose from 4 additional characters to play the game again, tough the stages arent fun enough to warrant you will play the game over again.

In the end its just an average game, definitely not worth $4 (maybe 1 or 2) considering theres games out there for the same price with more attention to detail and better game design overall.

Patch Features - Gear Recovery!:
[Feature]
- New abilities "Gear Recovery" Allow player spend gear for recover 30% damage (8 HP) but use this albility also require maximum power guage the result is player lost 1 round of power use in process. This ability can be use by all characters.

- Gear still function for special check point like it away does.

[Change]
- Gear number now cap at 30 and drop rate decreate for 10%

- Player can no longer select Gear respawn in boss room,this prevent new player from waste the item since boss room already provide free CP.

[Fix]
- Fix Gal03 (Boss) Charge attack deal no damage to player.. Update! Steam function now work.:

- Steam Function now work such as Shift+Tab , F12 [take screen shot]

- Improve some area design on GAL04 level which confuse player between passage area and death pit.

- Improve long Jump allow player to not lost their momentum by accident. [long jump momentum will be reset only when player press backward key or land success]. Metaloid: Origin need greenlight support!:
