Justice League Dark is what it sounds like. It's the dark side of justice. A group of supernatural heroes who band together loosely to take on occult threats, supernatural threats - threats that the real Justice League may be powerless against.
Beings with supernatural powers join together to fight against supernatural villains. This team of supernatural beings include John Constantine, Zatanna and Jason Blood also known as the demon Etrigan.
When the supernatural raises it's ugly head, what is the Justice League to do? Simple, band together John Constantine, Zatanna and Etrigan to name a few. They have to take on and save the earth from a deadly supernatural evil. Part of the New 52, I didn't love the comic and found this to be just OK. A lesser entry.
This movie is in no way bad, it is just very basic in terms of plot and character development and instead acts as a showcase for various side characters in the DC universe. It works well enough in this regard, but it could have done without the presence of Batman, who does little to enhance the film bar stating the obvious.

These are they type of characters that DC should be looking into and you wonder what would have happened had DC/Warner Bros been in the same position as Marvel where they didn't have their flagship characters to rely on. Instead DC don't seem to be able to abandon the big three, who all make appearances in this, which may hamstring them creatively. Batman is great, but do we really need him in every DC movie?!

Overall this is a generally watchable film, it's pretty entertaining and the characters are cool. A sequel could be a lot better and things could go a lot more in depth into the world of the supernatural in DC. It is certainly accessible to the casual fan, but not all ages.
