About This Game

INVERSUS Deluxe is a competitive and cooperative arcade shooter with a mind-bending twist. Player movement is constrained to opposite colors of a black and white grid. My walls are your paths and your walls are my paths. Each shot flips tile colors in an attempt to block, trap and close in on the enemy.

With full support for solo play, local multiplayer and online multiplayer, INVERSUS Deluxe adapts to you and your group of friends. The full single-player and local-multiplayer experience can also be played while waiting for a match online!

In VERSUS mode, up to four players can compete across thirty-nine different maps in 1v1 or 2v2 battles. Head straight into online ranked multiplayer, train against five tiers of AI bots, or customize the rules in local games and private online lobbies.

Take on the challenge of ARCADE mode alone or with a friend as you fight for survival on eleven stages. Create devastating chain attacks through the enemy swarms as you compete for high scores on the global leaderboards!

Fun, fast, strategic arcade shooter that is incredible in solo or where it really shines, 4 player multi!!!. Somewhat geometry wars game springs to mind when playing this with the feel of it, enjoyable game to play and well worth the price.

Not tried multi-player yet but from what i have played of it, i would think i will enjoy it.

Defo worth a bash iif your a fan of Gemometry Wars. A well designed game that's great for single player, couch co-op, and online play (both co-op and versus). The simple and intuitive controls make it easy to pickup, while the more advanced tactics of reflecting incoming shots and shooting around corners allow for higher-level play. My only complaint is that there aren't enough people playing it online, so it's difficult to find a match.. Latin titile, good soundtrack, quality memes. I first encountered an early build of Inversus at Bit Bash 2015, and was instantly impressed. At the time, there was just multiplayer mode and only about 7 or so stages, but it was already apparent that this was something special. The core mechanics were quite simple, but allowed for impressive strategic depth, intertwining shooting with territory control. Think Othello mixed with a competitive top-down shooter.

Since then, the developer has added about another 20 multiplayer stages, online play, a single-player arcade mode with 7 stages, and numerous unlockables, turning what was a promising demo into a quite compelling game.

Unfortunately, matchmaking appears quite sparse at the moment, but if you have friends to play with, Inversus comes highly recommended.
. This is one of the best arcade games I've ever played. It is easy to learn, but hard to master. I can spend hours in this game, playing with anyone who is in the game at the time. Everyone should pick up a copy and play today. I just like it. This is a tremendous multiplayer game to play with friends. I bought it in the recent Steam sale without much expectation but it has surprised me with its combination of fast pace and strategic depth. Since you can only travel on tiles which are the opposite color, you are torn between clearing space on the map to navigate and targeting your opponents. The pacing of multiplayer is great and levels are unlocked quickly, giving you a lot of variety in terms of level designer. Overall a fantastic game.

Patch Notes 1.2.2:
The latest build of the game has the following updates:

A master volume slider was added to the audio options.
Nine new unlockable color palettes have been added. The order of the old palettes moved around also, but all of your unlocked colors are still there.
Fixed a bug where one of the emotes was not selectable.

For those interested in what the version 1.2.1 did the other day, it was just a small logic fix that made selecting no modes in solo matchmaking search every game mode.. Patch Notes 1.7.8:
Version 1.7.8 is a very minor update. For players with the full game, this adds some improvements to audio quality on Windows 7. This update is also available for the demo version which hasn't been patched in a long while. It now has all the latest fixes, etc that have been added to the full game.. Patch Notes 1.5.14 (minor bug fixes):
A small patch released to day that fixes a couple small bugs.

It was possible for the audio to get muffled after entering the options menu. This has been fixed.
The arcade map "Tiles" was rendering slightly off center. It is now very much centered.

. Update 1.3.2 (bug fixes and colors):
Here's what's new in the 1.3.2 update (and the 1.3.1 hotfix from last week):

Added 9 new color palettes to unlock!
Fixed a bug where color palettes weren't resetting properly when resuming a "Play While Waiting" game.
On the final round of a set public games, emotes will now continue networking up until one team chooses "Find Next Game". Previously they stopped much earlier.
When bringing multiple local players into an online game, each local player's emotes now get networked individually.

Last time we talked, I was working away on the 1.5 update. Then I started adding more content. Then I decided to add some more new features. I certainly wasn't done adding more unlocks. And then I went and gave the whole thing a big visual upgrade. Looking back at the current game and what I had been building, I realized that it had become this giant beast of an update and just bumping the version number wasn't enough. This needed a name!

INVERSUS Deluxe is still going to be a free update for all existing players and it will be the version of the game launching on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
