Intelligent vehicles tested in Jiading

The conference summarized the general test results of trial roads for intelligent connected vehicles and put forward goals for 2019.

Since March 1, 2018, when licenses for intelligent connected vehicles were issued nationwide, the Shanghai Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center has been promoting the trial road for the vehicles, and it has issued seven testing licenses to automobile companies such as SAIC Motor Corp, NIO, BMW, Momenta and TuSimple.

The 37.2-kilometer trial roads have produced testing distances of 23,158 kilometers and 1,031 hours of testing time. During the time there were zero traffic accidents or violations.

The center has established a complete intelligent connected vehicle road testing system and formed a closed area testing system, which has completed more than 10,000 road trials.

The center has also established a platform to analyze the connected vehicle data, operation and management. It has put in almost 4 million items of test data and a complete workflow of the intelligent connected vehicle road testing application process.

The center has docked with more than 80 intelligent vehicle companies.Soon, testing roads and a closed testing area will be opened in the Lingang area of the Pudong New Area.
