GNOG is a 3D puzzle game set in a tactile world of toys and secrets. Point, click, grab, poke, spin, pull, and play with uniquely charming monster heads as you explore the hidden worlds inside them. Filled with eye-catching designs, playful interactions, and a rich, reactive soundtrack, the hand-crafted heads come to life in either standard play or in VR.

Inspired by real-world toy designs, every GNOG head is a miniature world to discover. Grab a bookcase and spin it to reveal a hidden pile of coins, slide levers to navigate a damaged ship through outer space, crank a wheel to cook a stew on the stove – each playful interaction generates lively feedback and surprising consequences. If you're an artsy, audiophile gamer it's pretty much the best thing ever.. Simply a good time!. I liked this game my the music and animation was great my only complaint is it's way to short. One of the most pleasant and relaxing games I've played. Perfect for an evening after a long day of work.. A solid, if slightly flawed puzzle game built around manipulating boxes with various themes in order to get them to open up. The most notable issue I had, other than relatively minimal length was that how you should even start a puzzle isn't very clear initially, and as such the first box or two feel more like they could really do with an instruction manual. However, the game ultimately comes together once you get used to how the game plays, and while not in the same league as a game like Portal, it's a great way to kill a few hours if you enjoy puzzle games.

Note: I did not play the game in VR mode, though frankly, I can't see how VR would improve it.. Very nice and very short. The puzzles are not very hard but I really like the style.
The price would still be unreasonable for a monitor experience but as so often I see it like a donation for future VR software.
And I love experiments like this one.
. Interface in VR is fiddly and inconsistent, and it doesn't quite work as a puzzle game. But it's so gosh darn visually interesting (in VR anyway) and unique that I'll give it a pass.. A really fun puzzle game with one annoying flaw

This is a very nice puzzle game. Its not as challenging as i would like it to be but its still very interesting. im playing in VR on the HTC vive and the visuals are so incedibly cool. For some reason this game really makes me calm.
One compaint is that i wish there were more levels to play, maybe in future updates.
But the biggest difficulty and annoyance is that when using the HTC Vive only ONE of the controllers is visible which really takes away from the VR aspect of it. I truely hope they fix this flaw

but THIS game, is great and surreal at same time1. GNOG is like candy for my eyes and ears, but if the candy wrapper was a puzzle box, also made of candy.

I've been waiting for this game to come out on PC and I am not disappointed!!!
The colors, sounds, animations, are all mesmerizing and it's a lot of fun to play even though I am bad at puzzle games, and specifically, bad at GNOG.
It feels really nice to play for the most part too.

So far my only complaints are that 1) there's a lot of pressing and/or holding the A button (if you use a 360 controller like me) or its equivalent, so after a few levels my thumb started to hurt, and 2) it's a little confusing to get ahold of the controls at first, but I think it becomes easier as you play. For me, at least, particularly with the parts where you spin things around, it took me a couple of levels to really get the hang of it.

But in small bursts, and once I figured out I needed to spin the thumbstick faster, it's really satisfying!

The sights and sounds are enthralling. Usually when I play pretty games I take a TON of screenshots but I was so engrossed in this I had to like, remind myself to take a couple. The level completion songs are the kind of thing that just has me gazing at the screen like a hypnotized child.
