Description

Girlfriend Rescue is a thrilling adventure by Aldorlea Games, where the gameplay of "Dragon Quest" meets the atmosphere of "Streets of Rage".

Plot

First off, the product description isn't too accurate. This game is more like a cross between Pokemon and Earthbound. The RPG and beat-em-up elements are rather light, which I am thankful for as too many RPGs are slowed by lengthy cut-scenes and rambling dialogue. But there are enough choices in combat to require skill and smart tactics to progress. The learning curve is just right and some of the items and upgrades are fun.

Sadly, it feels a bit generic, with the character sprites not changing as you upgrade and the long, repetitive, maze-like levels failing to keep my interest after 10 minutes. There are 69 trophies/achievements which require multiple play-throughs and need you to play the game for an eternity to unlock. Sorry it's just not that much fun. Decent for a single play-through, with okay music, and some pleasing fight scenes, but utterly forgettable soon after. Trading cards also included.. quot;Calling the cops will not change antything... Welcome to the UK.. I did a playthrough in like 17 h. The plot is simple, rescue your girlfriend. The story has some suspense like why was she kidnapped? Is the abductor an alien?
When I've finished the game, I've learned who and why my girlfriend was kidnapped and that's all.

You have the challenge to not use the police restoration.
I could've avoided it until Troy's boss (normal mode)

You can explore strategis in battles replaying!. You get 1 or 2 new characters for next playthrough.

You're stuck in your first choices , for ex: I'm a man who loves a girl. Why can't we be a gay or a lesbian next time? I suppose it's good for strategy but the plot sucks for me. Well I've paid it cheap :). Got suck but the rest of the gameplay was fun. There's 2 reasons why i bought this game ....
The 1st reason : I saw Boobs,I clicked
The 2nd reason : Achievement and Card but mainly for boobs. A nice game made in the RPG-maker-e with the usual story.
Bad guys stole your girlfriend, and you kill enemies, to find out who did it and return it. The plot is supplied through the dialogues in front of each zone at the end thereof, and a few words spoken in a skirmish with the boss levels.
The game tells the story of what is happening in our time
The pros of the game is quite original for the style of similar games, the possibility of the initial choice of the composition of the team of heroes from a dozen applicants, each of which has its own inclinations, skills and weapons, multiple difficulty levels of the game.
Of the minuses - excessive simplicity.
The plot consists of eight zones, referred to as the in-game "worlds".
Generally pretty good quality project producer RPG to RPG-Maker-e Aldorlea Games, perfectly crafted with small drawbacks.. I bought this game for fun. Thinking "Oh This will be funny!". It sure was.

You can play as either male or female. gay or straight. So I played as me. A guy name Gerard. It makes me happy to see you have the option to be gay on this game.

Once you get in to the game... You see the story of how a girl is kidnapped. You can choose 3 other people to join you as you set out to rescue her.

The battles are a bit like the ones in pokemon.

I haven't finished it yet but so far... so good!

Stop commenting about how being gay is wrong and stuff. I will not change. I will live how I wish. Enjoy the damn game.. Aldorea did it again, another quality jrpg stylish game, but a little diferent :)

We needed games where girls need a resque, not many of them these days...

Gameplay have lots of mixture between adventure/jrpg/beat-em-up set up in real time, that point this game above classical games of this genre.
A big plus is yet again a lot's of humor especialy if you like a darker one, and many unique characters.
Nothing much to say about graphic, models are nice and game runs great no glitches or bugs.
Music is catchy to ear and wont bother any time soon :)

Overall:
A quality jrpg that will surely bring a lot of fun to it's fans.. This game is a tremendous amount of fun. It's also challenging, so don't expect an easy game.
The game also is recommended if you enjoy games with humor, and pop culture references.
