While the President is in danger and the Vice President vacillates, Jack and Bill try to counter Juma, realizing later that his plot is part of a larger threat.
Jack informs Buchanan that he released enough natural gas in the safe room to create an explosion. As the President reads a statement apologizing for the invasion of Sangala, Buchanan tells Jack that he saw Juma on the phone with another co-conspirator; Buchanan then grabs a guard's weapon and sets off the explosion, killing himself and several of Juma's henchmen. In the chaos, Moss orders an assault against the Vice President's wishes, and Jack and Aaron secure weapons and eliminate Juma and his men. Allison appoints Olivia to an advisory position in an act of reconciliation. Jack informs Moss of the other co-conspirator and asks to interrogate Burnett again without using torture. Moss refuses and orders Agent Powell to arrest Jack, but Renee convinces Ethan Kanin ,the President's chief of staff, to override Moss. Consequently, Moss suspends Renee for insubordination and accompanies Jack to the hospital. As Jack begins the interrogation, an assassin sent by Juma's co- conspirator, Jonas Hodges, briefly disables the camera and audio feed to the hospital room and immobilizes Jack and Burnett with a paralytic gas before slitting Burnett's throat, framing Jack for the murder. After recovering, Jack steals the security tapes and escapes the hospital with the FBI on his tail.

In summary,here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Bill Buchanan sacrifices himself to save President Allison Taylor. Because of this, Jack can kill General Benjamin Juma while the FBI secures the President. Jack approaches Larry Moss with information that Bill gave him before dying about someone from outside aiding Juma. He suggests to Larry that they must further interrogate Ryan Burnett.

2.President Allison Taylor tells Ethan Kanin her idea of bringing her daughter, Olivia, as a special adviser. Ethan disagrees with the idea because of Olivia's past actions during her mother's campaigns. When Ethan approaches Olivia with the offer, she attacks him for allowing all this corruption to reach her mother.

3.Renee Walker is suspended by Larry Moss after she circumvented his authority by taking Jack's information to Ethan Kanin.

4.Jonas Hodges worries that Burnett might spoil all their plans, but Greg Seaton assures him that he already sent someone to take care of Burnett.

5.Jack Bauer is taken to question Burnett. While he is doing so, Quinn infiltrates the hospital room paralyzing Jack with a nerve gas, kills Burnett, and gets back out. When Jack recovers movement, he realizes he is being framed and escapes just as Larry enters the room. Jack calls him from outside and assures him he didn't do anything and that the threat is not over yet.

This is a great follow-up from the previous episode of Day 7 as Jack,Bill Buchanan and Aaron Pierce work together and succeed in saving the President and the White House.Words and action are not enough to describe the thrills and action behind the rescue effort.Also,they get to contain General Juma in the process.

But another villain is identified in this episode.He is Jonas Hodges,the most determined and sinister villain to go up against Jack.He is excellently played by great actor,Jon Voight. 8:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Juma has president Taylor give a speech in a means to surrender that is officially streaming online and could take hours to get rid of according to the CIA. In a desperate attempt to save the President Bill attacks juma and in the process kills himself when time bomb goes off in the building. Jack acts quickly and kills off Juma. A shootout between the FBI and Juma's soldiers begins, the FBI is very successful. President Taylor and her daughter share affection for each other, Taylor wants the world to know what went down here, regardless of anything. Jack is devastated by Bill's death. Renee and Jack know that there is more to this than Juma's involvement, someone was helping him or guiding him, Moss doesn't want to hear about it and because of Renee's actions as of late, she is suspended. Jack is told that the shooter from earlier, Tony Burnett, is wide awake now and can be interrogated. John Hodges finds out and has another one of his special top operatives to take care of the situation, Quinn. Quinn sneaks in some gas into Burnett's room and knocks out jack, he kills Burnett. Minutes later the two Jack walked in with find him. Jack later goes out and finds his ticket out of the situation once officials arrive onto the scene.

First and foremost it's always sad to loose such a great and beloved character on such spectacular show, Bill will be remembered.

A breathtaking hour. the story structure worked.

The acting is very top notch, we also are given such a powerful absorption from Jack's emotionality.

The action sequences are quite well shot and engaging.

At first I thought this season would go downhill, but wow, what a fine direction this is taking.
