FOUNDATION : A NEW ERA OF ORGANIC CITY-BUILDING SIMULATION!

Foundation is a grid-less, sprawling medieval city building simulation with a heavy focus on organic development, monument construction and resource management.

In this strategy/city-builder/economy simulation game, players must create a prosperous settlement as the newly appointed lord of a region untouched by man.

Setting to redefine the city-builder genre, Foundation puts the emphasis on the organic aspects of urbanism in the cities of old, powered by Polymorph Games’ proprietary game engine, Hurricane, which allows for full mod support and is optimized for the thousands of moving parts that come with building humongous cities.

Among other things, the engine provides the player with robust building tools, to create countless unique monuments that will seamlessly integrate into your settlement.

With medieval architecture and urbanism at the forefront of its design, Foundation’s vision is to allow players to recreate cities of that period as they envision them or even as they really were.

You liked Banished but it was dour and the modding was weird.

You think City Skylines looks great but you hate industrial stuff and don't want to be doing the post-60s architecture.

Yeah, this is the game you want. It's gorgeous, still a teeny bit buggy and missing images here and there but it's so good! It's just what you want!. As this is the Early Access - yes there are some visual glitches (in an otherwise STUNNING visual game), but I still am very excited about this game - even in it's current state. I look forward to seeing how it develops, but it's a great game if you're looking for a unique builder game.. Great look. Great idea. But completely unplayable. Market is right next to berry producer and berry producer won't work because their inventory is filled. A warehouse down the street is also full. But market is empty and people are starving. I really want to like this game but its basically unplayable. Hopefully they get this basic stuff fixed before they go and add more cool stuff because if you can't feed your people whats the point.. This is not a finished game, at all. Yes, you can click things, but there is a big difference between painting a village into place, and playing a game to balance an economy and develop a medieval village. I love city builders or all shapes and sizes, but I got no satisfaction from the 3 different times I tried to start a village.. Don't buy this if you want custom controls as there is not a menu to remap them. Otherwise it is a beautiful game.. I was enjoying the game up until the point at which I realized that bridges are not working properly. I was able to build two bridges after about ten attempts. I needed to build a third bridge but it just wouldn't work. I gave up after about fifteen attempts. I tried various locations and as many different bridge configurations (different lengths, angles relative to shore, etc.) as I could think of, but I was not able to figure out why I succeeded in building the first two bridges but not the third. I also tried reloading the game.. Fun at first but then all villigers just get stuck. would'nt rekommend it until the game is out of early access
