Short sprints. Sprinting at 80% for just four seconds then walking for a minute is a great fat blaster and metabolism booster. You can then repeat this for 10-20 minutes total workout time. Sprints build every muscle in the lower body, strengthen your core body, and even work the shoulders and back. It burns a lot of calories for the time worked also and raises your metabolism along the way.What is the best exercise? Well any exercise is a healthy step in the right direction of course.. Indoor cycling on an exercise bike is a great choice for getting exercise that is fun and gets long lasting results. Why do folks own exercise bikes? Here are 5 REASONS! TIME is number one. You can get a great workout ( 20-30 minutes) FAST! Imagine you are between chores at home. You feel like getting a burn but do not want to have to get yourself together to go to the gym. So you just jump on your trusty recumbent and start peddling away while watching your favorite show or DVD. You are enjoying yourself my friend and now your blood is pumping. In the time it would have taken to get to the gym you are done. And you saved gas.

COST is number two. The cost will equal gym memberships + gas + miles. Let's be honest and agree that good gym memberships are not cheap. I have been in gyms for 25 years whether it was Gold's or just the YMCA. The membership cost plus extras add up fast. WEIGHT LOSS is number three. Remember when you first heard that a cardiovascular exercise like riding an indoor bike will burn fat as well as calories. Just 20 minutes of nice steady peddling on a recumbent or upright exercise bike will get you into that 20+ minute "fat burning" zone fast. Just listen to your favorite album and before you hear song number 7 you will be "in the zone". CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH is number four. Get on that new piece of shiny equipment and start nice and easy. Just get comfortable after adjusting the machine to your body formula like the seat and the tension as some use resistance ( drag) by mechanics or magnetism. Now just settle in with a nice steady motion that is low impact with a little bit of work involved. You do want to work so much that you are straining.Better to go longer on low resistance at first.

"LIVE TO EXERCISE ANOTHER DAY" is number five. My experience in the gym brought on several injuries over the course of my years. Especially in my youth and haste when I wanted fast results. I admit my workout has changed and so has my percentage of strains and pains. It is typical of free weights ( although I still enjoy them) or bad form on a nautilus type of station. But proper use of an upright bike or recumbent will get you through your exercise period with nary a pain. Maybe the nice feeling of muscles that have been used properly and are building while you grin and that is a good feeling my friend.When people decide they are looking to lose weight it is usually because they don't like what they see in the mirror. For most of us our eyes are drawn right to the mid-section mainly the abs. Perhaps you have a pair of jeans you like but when you put them on there is a bit hanging over, what is called muffin top. Sexy, sleek, toned abs is the most desired body part of both men and women. You get attention from the opposite sex with good looking abs.When we see a person with sexy abs we typically think that person is in good health and knows how to live a healthy lifestyle. Typically people think of the traditional crunches, and situps in different formats as the answer to sleek, toned abs. In order to achieve good looking abs the excess abdominal fat must be removed that means you will have to introduce healthy eating and an exercise routine that will incorporate the entire body.
