After the apocalypse two brother realize there is only on thing left to do... Fight to the death!
In a post-apocalyptic world, two brothers survive and live out their lives in a small cabin in the woods, with no real plans or chance for the future. In a fit or boredom they decide to go out to a clearing and fight to the death.

There is an oddly natural tone to this short film which I quite enjoyed in so much as it clashes with the setting and the plot. This drew me in as the two characters felt almost emotionally unprepared and apologetic for the deadly thing they had decided to do, and I was interested to see where it went. The problem is that the content is not particular smart or funny; it does have this awkward sense of unreality, but it doesn't do a great deal with it apart from wallow in it. This in itself is not without charm, but it is not enough to carry it. The sudden change of tone at the end is excessive – most notably in terms of the gore, but also the song over the end credits. I think the gore is too far and too lacking in context – okay we knew this was a fight to the death, but the film jumps to it and does so in an incredibly violent manner.

I did like the natural tone, and technically the film looks and sounds very good, with the editing of the back & forwards being well done to keep the momentum and not "feel" like cuts so much as just a constant flow. The content is the problem though, and this is not helped at all by the sudden and excessive jump at the end.
