EA announces FIFA 20 partnership with Liverpool

EA Sports has announced a partnership with Champions League winners Liverpool ahead of the worldwide 27 September release of FIFA 20.

The multi-year deal with the European champions follows the news that EA has lost the licence for Italian giants Juventus to rivals Konami, for their upcoming release of eFootball PES2020. However, in announcing a partnership with Liverpool, EA has snagged one of Konami’s main attractions and a licence they had held since 2016. Now, with Liverpool the reigning European champions, that licence has become even more valuable. The deal with Liverpool doesn’t change much from a FIFA gameplay point of view though, as Liverpool were already fully licensed on FIFA 19 as part of its Premier League deal. It does, however, mean EA and the Reds will collaborate to create Liverpool-specific content for the fans of both video games and the real thing. ‘We always strive to blur the lines between the virtual and real worlds of football. By partnering with Liverpool FC, we are delighted to continue breaking new ground, providing unrivaled authenticity to fans across the globe’, says EA’s Samantha Ebelthite.buy fifa 20 ultimate team coins

Licensing in football sims has been a problem for decades, with EA owning the majority of major clubs and leagues – meaning PES has always had to scrap around to add authenticity to its series. There has been significant improvement in recent years though and Konami has renewed tie-ins with Arsenal and Barcelona, as well as adding giants Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Juventus. However, losing Liverpool just as they hit the peak of their real-world powers cannot be seen as anything less than a disappointment for fans of the series and it will be interesting to see if Konami responds further.fut coins online Buy Now
